Tortimer Returns From Vacation

Mayor Tortimer returned from his vacation today. He was at my house to greet me as soon as I started up the game. He thanked me for turning on the lighthouse each night while he was gone.

Tortimer: I've heard that you did exactly what I asked you to!I received some chocolates as my reward. If you do this in January, you’ll get a lighthouse model instead. But I only did it in February this year, although I have done it in January four times before (and I have four lighthouse models in my basement). Here is a look at the chocolates, which aren’t very exciting.

Chocolates from Tortimer.I talked to Copper at the police station and he informed me that Saharah is in town today. Saharah was also in my City Folk town today too. Even though a lot of people criticize the acre system on GameCube, it is quite helpful…not only for working on perfect town status, but also for quickly finding visitors. Copper tells you the exact acre where the visitor is at that moment.

Copper: She should somewhere near Acre E-2 at this time of day.I talked to Saharah, but I didn’t have a carpet to trade in.

Saharah: You'll give me a carpet and some money. I'll give you an exotic carpet.

No Snow, Tutu’s Ball, and Porter

It’s February 25, and that means one thing: The snow is gone! Grass is now green again, and spring is on its way.

The green grass of spring. Also, I changed into a vertigo shirt, as I was a bit tired of the crewel shirt. I made my usual rounds, pulling weeds and digging up fossils. I’ve been making sure the lighthouse gets turned on every night this week and I did it again tonight.

The lighthouse is turned on.Tomorrow is the last night I’ll have to turn it on, and Tortimer should be back from vacation on Monday.

I kicked a basketball into a pond, and Tutu went crazy trying to get it! She was running in place, trying to catch up to it even though it was in the water. It was pretty funny.

Tutu trying to chase the ball in the pond.I mailed some letters at the post office, and on my way back home, I decided to stop and say hello to Porter. Even though I wasn’t taking the train anywhere, I figured I likely hadn’t spoken to him in a couple years, so I thought I would say hi.

Porter: Don't you have anyone special to visit? That's so sad.
