I visited Dotty today, and I noticed two Spaceman Sams in her house. That was even odd, because for a long time, she’s had three astronauts! Where did the other one go? The lunar rover is still here, so he couldn’t have driven away. Did Dotty kill him and then bury him in the sand? Leave your theories in the comments! 😉
When I stopped in to see Poncho, I saw that he was all packed up and ready to move out (like we discussed). Take care, Poncho!
At the gate, Booker informed me that Wendell was in town somewhere (even though I hadn’t seen him at that point). But I was in no rush to see the walrus. Now that I have my mystery circle, I don’t need him right now.
Since it’s the last day of August, many of the valuable summer bugs will be gone by tomorrow. So I made one last bug-hunting run tonight, and I caught a good variety.
I caught a scorpion, a tarantula, a golden stag, a rainbow stag, a cyclommatus, a scarab beetle, three goliath beetles, a couple of giant beetles, and several others. I also fished two sharks out of the ocean. Not bad for about 25 minutes of hunting. My catches earned me about 140,000 bells altogether.
Today, Dotty told me about the deep discussions she has with her friends.
Okay, actually she was just trying to tell me that Pascal was in town. Apparently she was afraid of him? I don’t know, Dotty is kind of indirect and hard to understand sometimes. 😛
So I made sure I had a scallop in my pockets, and then made my way over to the bridge. Pascal was there, but I think he was all out of wisdom today. All he said was that he wanted to grow corn? Maybe he’s been hanging out with Dotty too much.
So I gave him the scallop, and he gave me an anchor in return.
I bumped into Poncho, and he told me he’s planning on moving out of town. I don’t dislike the guy, but I don’t particularly care for him either. So I’m letting him go.
And as if Dotty wasn’t being strange enough, I found her walking around near the crop circle. She even stood on it, as if she was waiting for a spaceship to come and pick her up. Sadly, I don’t think the aliens want her back.
Tank was sick with a cold today, so I bought some medicine for him. But as he took the medication, he seemed to threaten me with his horn right against my head!
The second (of four) fireworks festivals was held tonight. Since I’ll probably miss the next two, I made sure to play tonight. Tortimer was outside of town hall, handing out sparklers and roman candles.
To keep up with my annual tradition, I burned Tortimer’s back with a roman candle. 😛 It’s part of his turtle wax routine, although I didn’t use a bubble wand to soap him up. Megan used to help me out with that part. 😛
Tangy was nearby, and she told me that she takes advantage of the fireworks’ loud noises to scream anything she wants. For example, she told me that she really loves ****! 😮
I walked over to the bridge and watched the fireworks for a little while.
I was happy to see that someone was finally wearing a bikini! It was my newest neighbor, Midge. Now it would be really funny if Tank started wearing it.
Aside from the fireworks, I also used tonight to catch some bugs. As much as I hate to say it, summer is winding down. With only two and a half weeks of August left, I wanted to make sure I spent a little time bug-catching before it’s too late.
I caught about 60,000 bells worth of bugs (well, that included a shark as well). I put my money into the bank, and that brought my balance up to 30 million bells!
You may want to check out the fireworks at least once before August ends. And enjoy the rest of your summer. 🙂
