A Tough Cheerleader

I had a chat with Clyde out on the dead end today, and he was carrying a shovel around. He thought it made him look tougher.

Clyde: Doesn't this shovel make me look tougher? Like you wouldn't want to mess with me?
Yeah, nothing says tough like a horse carrying a shovel…and wearing a bikini.

Benedict asked me to make a delivery to Clyde today, and I agreed to help out. The gift was clothing, so Clyde changed out of his rainbow bikini and into a pep squad shirt. I’m not sure that this is helping Clyde’s attempts to look tougher, though. 😛

Clyde: Is this a pep-squad shirt? Huh. I guess I should make the most of it, though, and give it a try, clucky!
Oh, I think that Ben’s found himself a cheerleader… ♪

I wrote Tabby a nice letter for a future ACCF video. And then I ordered a Mario outfit (shirt, hat, and mustache) at Nook ‘n’ Go. It’s also for a future video…just not an Animal Crossing video. 😉 You’d probably never guess, even if you could brew up an idea.

Catalog: big bro's shirt, 256 bells.

I listened in on a conversation between Champ and Kitty. It started out with Champ asking what was going on with Kitty’s face. 😀 Too bad this discussion wasn’t with Tabby.

Champ: Yo, Kitty, what's going on with your face right there? tweedledee?

Kitty responded that she gets pimples on her left cheek when she gets dumped. I wonder who dumped her? I didn’t know she was dating anyone. But Champ brushed off that explanation, saying she probably got the pimples because she wasn’t working out hard enough.

Champ told me he was going to move out of town, but I didn’t want him to go. So I told him to stick around, but he said it was too late. But eventually, after at least seven separate attempts, he finally agreed to stay in town.

Champ: Your tears have, like, rusted the iron boulder of my heart, tweedledee.

I also did a little town maintenance, finally repairing the damage done during Pitfall Pandemonium. Nothing major, I just moved some gold roses back to where they were before, and I replanted an orange tree I chopped down to make room.

Tabby’s New Clothes

The day after I posted the Pitfall Pandemonium video, I walked out of my house and fell right into a pitfall! Did my animals do this for revenge?

After putting some money into the bank, my account balance reached 31 million bells.

Your current balance is 31,000,000 bells.

On Sunday, Tom Nook had an orange cone, a bromeliaceae, and a garden gnome as his three furniture items for sale. What’s so special about that? They all have orange-ish points on top!

Is this a three-point (screen)shot?

The reason I kept playing over the weekend is that I was trying to save Tangy. Even though she never told me she changed her mind, I knew she was safe once someone else was considering moving. That someone was Static, and he agreed to stick around a while longer.

Static: And moving's such a hassle, anyway. All right, you've convinced me. I'll stay in Forest!

Today, Tabby had a request for me: She wanted new clothes!

Tabby: Remember, I need clothes that look good on ME! I'm counting on you!
I’m not a miracle worker!

I agreed to help her out, but not to make her look good. I looked through my catalog, and I wanted to get a moldy shirt for her. Unfortunately, it couldn’t be ordered. But I got her the next best thing: an ugly shirt!

Ugly shirt: 336 bells.

Once it arrived, I took it to Tabby. She loved it! (Seriously!)

Tabby: Ohmigooooooosh! It's a real ugly shirt!
It fits you perfectly.

Just for fun, I pitfall’d myself behind a large snowball. Unfortunately, it didn’t entirely block my face. But it was a cool place to just chill.

Jeff falls into a pitfall behind a large snowball in Animal Crossing: City Folk.Remember back in the summer, when I wanted my villagers to wear the bikinis and nobody wore them? I have the opposite problem now. Everyone’s wearing them, and I’m tired of it. So I swapped out the bikinis in Able Sisters with some other designs. Maybe these critters will finally change their clothes.

Pitfall Pandemonium

On Wednesday night, I decided to have some fun with all the pitfall seeds I’ve been hoarding lately. I built a large snowman, and made sure Tabby was outside (so she could participate in the pitfall party I had planned). 😉

So I started trapping the five outdoor villagers into an area I had sectioned off. Some of the animals accused me of being a bully, but it’s for their own good! It’s so they can enjoy a fun pitfall party! 🙂

Clyde: Now you're just being a bully, Jeff.

I dug holes and buried 25 pitfall seeds. I left myself a safe corridor where I could walk around the large animal trap without falling in any pitfalls.

Before I started the fun, Midge seemed a big angry. But interestingly, I saw that all of the trapped animals had changed into rainbow bikinis!

Midge: Excuse me. Now's not a good time, tweedledee!

After falling into a pitfall myself (and replacing it), I started the party! Clyde was the first to get down, and Midge was next. But the others needed a push to get started. But I we had a good time.

Okay, well maybe they weren’t all happy about it…

Clyde: I feel like cotton candy that someone sat on...
Why the long face?

In other news around town, I found a weather forecast on the bulletin board. It said temps will be higher than normal, so ponds shouldn’t freeze over.

~Weather Forecast~ We're expecting average amounts of snow this year. Temps will be higher than normal, so ponds shouldn't freeze over.

This corrects a mistake that was in Wild World. In ACWW, the similar message said that low temps will prevent the lake from freezing. Oops. 😛

Static was feeling better, now that he’s over his cold. He didn’t thank me for the medicine I gave him, though. Apparently one dose isn’t enough.

Static: See? My face is all drained of color. Am I right, cluck?
Actually, you look a little blue. I mean, purple.

And speaking of purple animals, I found my old BFF Bob in the city. It’s good to see him again, even if he doesn’t remember me. *sniff sniff*

Bob: Hm. The shoe-shine guy doesn't look very busy right now...

Back in town, Midge tried to sell me a Nintendo Labo.

Midge: Hey, skippy, do you have any interest in this cardboard box, tweedledee?

Since she only asked for 112 bells, I went ahead and bought it. At least her price is reasonable.

Today, Tangy told me she was moving out of town. No, not her! That’s the wrong cat! I told her not to go, but she said she’s going to move anyway. I’m going to have to keep trying to save her.

Saharah was in town, looking for old carpeting. Opal and Static were the only villagers that had some old carpet for me.

Static: Anyhow, you've come to the right place. I just put down a brand-spanking-new rug, cluck! While attempting to save Tangy, she asked me for an MVP shirt. I ordered her one, and later took it to her. She seemed to like it, but then she rewarded me with a vision tester. Wait, didn’t I buy the right thing? 😛

Tangy: All I'm gonna do is give you a vision tester and be totally happy!

Just minutes later, I caught Kitty and Tangy gossiping about me! I swear, Kitty is always causing trouble. But the worst part is that Tangy had already changed out of her MVP shirt!

Tangy: No way!

I’m finally starting to see that Kitty is such a bad influence on everyone in town. She needs to go. Bad Kitty.
