Sunday Night Fireworks Festival

Today, I deposited the money in my pockets into the bank. That made my balance top 14 million bells for the first time.

Your current balance is 14,150,000 bells.I then took the bus to the city and checked out the Happy Room Academy. This was the model room.

A kitchen with some counters and cash registers, perhaps part of a restaurant. The theme was the most “grown-up” room. This room belonged to “Burgers,” which is apparently one of Ness’s characters.

Lyle: This month's winner? Kid from Onett. Name's Burgers. Ya see her? Tell her congrats. While I was in the city, I checked out the marquee/theater for this week’s new emotions. I got “shock” to replace the similar “disbelief.”

Shrunk: The doctor is OUT!At 8:00, I opened my gate. Ness was trying to visit, but kept getting error messages, as he has been a lot lately. Megan and Yann came over to visit, though. Megan let me try on her beard.

Jeff, wearing a king's beard: I'm Mayor Jeffimer. The fireworks festival was going on, so many of the animals talked about it.

Egbert: Nine times outta 10, I'll choose dumplings over fireworks.Megan went to meet my newest neighbor, Deena. They were both wearing the same shirt. Awkward…….

Megan, wearing the same shirt as Deena: I didn't notice. So Megan changed her shirt…and put on a beard. But who am I to question her fashion sense?

Megan, wearing a king's beard: Very manly, eh?Later, on the beach, we started using our shock (and disbelief for Yann) emotions. We kept trying to time our pictures just right. My picture only took a few tries, but Yann had to keep trying for a while.

Yann, Jeff, and Megan, all acting shocked.Megan had to leave around 9:50. Yann and I continued catching bugs. The rare bugs started showing up more after Megan left. At one point, I saw three goliath beetles on-screen at once. I caught them all. Around 10:10, I closed my gate for the night.

I earned 181,000 bells from the bugs I caught tonight. But unfortunately, that also included one black rose that I sold by accident. When clicking on bugs to sell them, I must have thought the black rose was also a beetle and clicked it as well. As hard as I’ve worked for black roses, it hurts to lose one by doing something stupid like that. Oh well.

Bob Locked Out

As I was watering my flowers tonight, I saw that Saharah was in town. So I talked to her and found out she was looking for old flooring/carpets. I went around and started asking my villagers for some. But I couldn’t ask Bob about carpets because he was locked out of his house.

At 10:00, I opened my gate and Yann came over to visit. I then decided to fish for Bob’s key, and before long, I caught it.

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?I gave it to Bob and he thanked me by giving me a kiddie chair.

Bob: If it weren't for you, I would have become homeless. Even though I have a house!Even though he acted so upset about being locked out of his house, he remained outside for the rest of the night, even after he got his key back.

For a little while, I still forgot to ask Bob about old carpet. But when I did, he gave me one. Two other animals (my two least favorites, Jambette and Yuka) also gave me old carpets, so I had the three that I needed to get a rare carpet from Saharah. She ended up giving me a mossy carpet.

Saharah: Here...a mossy carpet. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing. It was one that I have not had before, so I went into my house to see what it looked like.

The mossy carpet on display in my house (ACCF).Eh. Not exactly one of my favorites.

After that, Yann and I did a lot of bug catching. I caught some Goliath beetles, scarab beetles, atlas beetles, elephant beetles, a golden stag, and more. There are only three weeks left for summer bugs! So make sure you take advantage of it if you want to earn some major bells before the summer ends. In all, I earned 166,900 bells tonight just from bugs and fish.

Tom Nook: Thanks much! Anything else I can do for you?At 11:50, I closed my gate and ended my game for the night.

I have a question for you all though. I resize the pictures I use in my blog to a width of 400 pixels instead of the usual 640 pixels, so that the pictures don’t take up too much space and don’t require as much scrolling to read the full blog entry. Do you feel that these pictures are large enough, or do you think I should use the full-size pictures instead? Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for reading my blog!
