Marcel’s Lucky Cat

As I was walking along a clifftop tonight, I saw Tom walking down below. I couldn’t resist sprinkling him with some water from my water can. 😁

Sprinkling Tom with some water.

I like Tom, and he’s my buddy. But even friends have to mess with each other from time to time. 😛

K.K. Slider was at the Roost tonight for his usual Saturday night performance. He played K.K. Marathon for me. I’ve grown to hate this song; it’s so slow and boring! It’s one of my least favorite K.K. songs.

K.K. All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Marathon.

When I visited Marcel, he was standing in front of his lucky cat and just staring into its eyes. It was kind of weird.

In the city, I ran into my one-time villager Avery. He was talking about the coins that people throw into the fountain, and he kind of wanted to go pull them all out. 😛

Avery: I'm always amazed at how many bells people just toss into that fountain over there!

Because of the late hour, he was the only animal in the city. So he probably could have gotten away with it if he tried. 😛

See you all next time!

Not Lampy Enough

On Thursday, Big Top asked me for some “lampy” furniture. I couldn’t find any lamps in the shops or lost-and-found, so I ordered him a green lava lamp. It arrived on Friday, and I handed it to Big Top…but it wasn’t lampy enough for him!

Big Top: Huh? What's this? But I asked you to get something lampy!
If you don’t like it, then you get nothing.

Stitches said he was thinking about moving out of town, so I kept talking to him until I was able to change his mind.

Stitches: Since it means so much to you, I'll see if I can get out of this whole moving thing, stuffin'!
Thanks! I couldn’t bear to see you leave!

Saharah was in town, and she was collecting old wallpaper. Tom and Goldie were the only two who helped me out.

Goldie: It's nice of you to take in people's wallpaper for them.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have any old wallpaper in storage. So I was still one short of the three required to get a rare one from Saharah. But I put these two in storage, and I also have two old carpets in there as well. I’m ready for next time!

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town. He performed the song “Pondering” for me, and I thought it was a bland, boring song.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Pondering.

Not much else was going on tonight. But out in the city, the entrance to the Reset Center was open. Don was inside, but I missed Resetti; Don said he just left to get a massage.

Don: Ah, yes, it's Jeff. My brother Sonny just went off to get a massage.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and have a Happy Easter (and Bunny Day) tomorrow! 🐰

Meeting Marcel

Yesterday, I finally got to meet Marcel. He’s the newest neighbor of mime mine.

Marcel: Hey, nice to meetcha!

Stitches was talking about the possibility of eating a spider, and he was a bit too excited to give it a try.

Stitches: A spider sounds PRET-ty good!

But it turns out that he was just impersonating Nat, the Bug-Off host…who eats bugs. Allegedly.

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town. I enjoyed his lively performance of K.K. Metal.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Metal.

Marcel was at home tonight, so I got to see the inside of his house for the first time. It looks very Japanese, and he has a whopping four lucky cats!

In the city, the pathway to the Reset Center was open. I went inside, and Resetti seemed to be hinting at a future when he didn’t have to get angry about everyone resetting.

Resetti: Like, if I could just live my life without makin' such a scene all the time, maybe I'd have more fun.

This is indeed how things have played out in subsequent games. New Leaf, by default, doesn’t have Resetti in his usual role…at least until you choose to build the Reset Center. And he has a different role in New Horizons altogether.
