Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So some blog entries will cover multiple game days. If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 108

April is here now, so I connected to the Happy Home Network to check out the new challenge. This month's theme is a land of fairy tales.

As in previous challenges, two large items are unlocked. This time, we get a carriage and spinning tea cups. The tea cups are just like the ride you would see at an amusement park, but this plays a sped-up version of the harvest festival theme for some reason. It gets annoying very quickly.

For the house, I used a castle with a fairy-tale exterior, roof, and door. I also put up a fairy-tale fence. I included the two new items, along with a gorgeous rug leading to the castle, two fairy-tale streetlights, and a few perfect apple trees. Maybe if Snow White accidentally eats a poison apple, she can ride on the tea cups until she gets motion sick and...uh...ejects the poison.

Indoors, I decided to go a bit further with the Snow White theme. I used the forest wall and wildflower floor, along with a minimalist bed for Snow White to take a little nap. While gnomes may have been perfect to use as the seven dwarves, I have not unlocked them yet. So I took inspiration from Snow White's first name. This will be Snow White and the Seven Snowmen.

Snow White and the Seven Snowmen.

Their names are Frosty, Frigid, Melty, Icee, Squishee, Slurpee, and Steve.

I did Snow White a favor and gave the "special" apple to Tom Nook. Sleep well, yes yes?

I poisoned Tom Nook.
I've uploaded the house to the Happy Home Network, and you can visit and rate it by entering project code 0300-5769-871.

If you'd like to participate in this month's challenge (and unlock the carriage and spinning tea cups), make sure to do it by April 15th. See you next time!
