Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So some blog entries will cover multiple game days. If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 115

Now that it's October, I made sure to check out the new monthly challenge. This is challenge #13, and the theme is a robot control room.

The two required items are a monitor tower and a robot hero. The monitor tower is a new item, while the robot hero was previous used in challenge #2. Personally, I didn't start participating in challenges until #4, so both items are new to me.

Since the theme is a robot control room, I decided to save both new items for inside. Outdoors, I went with an astro themed house and lined a path to the house with gyroids (nebuloids and quazoids). I also put in some robo-lamps.

Both of the new items can be customized. The robot hero is red by default, but it's also available in blue, white, and black. The monitor tower's body can be black or white, and the screen can display a graph (the default), a virus, a clothing fabric, or a custom design.

I kept the body of the monitor tower black, while displaying the Animal Crossing logo on the screen (QR code available here). I used four robot heroes indoors, one of each color. And of course, I used the robo-floor and robo-wall. I think they're all wanting to play Animal Crossing! Although I'm pretty sure I heard one of them claiming to be an NX-bot, saying that they require NX information. Hmm...

I wasn't super mean to Tom Nook--I didn't even kill him this time! But I did put him on robot maintenance duty. He has to check for oil leaks, plug any holes, and sniff for gas leaks.
