Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in!

Day 32

Mira was out on Main Street today, and she wanted a futuristic space theme for her house. Great, maybe I can unlock that space furniture I wanted to use for Ribbot's house last time. I didn't want to put her in the desert like Ribbot, though. A forest could also be a good place to launch a UFO without being seen.

But when I checked the newly-unlocked items, there were no pieces of furniture among them! Other than Mira's picture, that is. The new items were mostly just clothes! Very disappointing. So with no rocket to put in her yard, I wasn't sure what to do. I just put an astro bed out there for her to take a nap on. I also put in some shrubs, some orange trees, and yellow roses. I made her house yellow and red to resemble Mira herself.

Indoors, I used the astro furniture set. Mira insisted on a full-moon vanity, and I threw in a mega dinkoid as well. Once again, I used space sounds as the sound scenery.

During the montage, Mira was playing the maracas in front of her astro CD player!

The code to visit her house is 0197-7704-348. Mira taught me the glee emotion once I was done.

Day 33

I decided to use the 3DS on the second floor today. It allows you to receive a special design request from the internet.

It summoned Louie the gorilla to the office. He wanted a house that celebrates Mario's 30th anniversary. I chose an island location, so the party goers can catch some nice (Mario) Sunshine. I went with a fortress style house. Sorry, but the princess is in another castle! There was also a double rainbow in the background.

A number of Mario items were unlocked for this project, as were the zero lamp and three lamp. I used a number of them outside.

Inside, I was able to use the new mushroom mural and block floor along with many of the Mario items. I hung up some garland for the anniversary party and I posted my Nintendo logo design (QR code here) on the wall. You may see that I also put the Nintendo logo on the tablecloths, if you look closely. Finally, I also added some chocolate cake and a cupcake for the party. I think Louie's going to eat that whole cake by himself!

When I was done, Louie taught me the sneezing emotion. I uploaded his house to the Happy Home Network; the code for it is 0397-7702-418.

See you next time!
