Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in!

Day 51

Knox the chicken was out on Main Street today. He said he didn't care where he lives, as long as his home is all about battle. So a battleship would be okay? I decided to give him a fortress with a moat around it. But it's a small fortress, because...he's a chicken. He doesn't need much space.

Knox's fortress--let's call it Fort Knox--must be protected from warriors, gold thieves, and trick-or-treaters. I'm pretty sure he wants to keep Colonel Sanders out too. So fourteen golden knights stand watch outside, ready to battle any intruders. Or hand out candy.

Interestingly, the Master Sword is unlocked with this project. Ditto for the candle and plate armor. Knox also insisted on a ship cannon (from the pirate theme). I used the basement wall and basement floor, and I removed the windows for security reasons. I added some gold items, since this is Fort Knox after all. I would have liked to use a treasure chest, but it's not available to me yet. There's also a skeleton of the last person who tried to steal something. That will serve as a warning to the next intruder.

Knox then taught me the heartbreak emotion. He didn't mean it in a bad way, I'm sure. In fact, he has a heart of gold! I uploaded Fort Knox to the Happy Home Network; its project code is 0108-7769-999.

Day 52

Chrissy was outside today, wanting a house covered in polka dots. For the outside of the property, I used a couple of alpine rugs, a polka-dot low table and some polka-dot stools. I also lined the path to Chrissy's house with pink bunny balloons.

I used the dotted wall and dotted rug indoors, along with the entire polka-dot furniture set. Chrissy insisted on Francine's picture...interesting. I also put a super mushroom and a 1-up mushroom on her table.

When I was done, Chrissy taught me the anger emotion. Because nothing says anger like a pink bunny. The code to visit Chrissy's polka-dot paradise is 0006-7769-909.

Next time, I'll be checking out more of your creations submitted to the Happy Home Network. Thanks for stopping by!
