Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So some blog entries will cover multiple game days. If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 87

I had a chat with Lucha the bird on Main Street today, and he wanted a pro-wrestling ring in his house so that he could host professional wrestling matches. I agreed to help him out.

I gave him an outdoor ring (actually just a helipad rug lined with boxing barricades) so that he can practice outside when the weather is nice. Some pavement rugs were used to make a path to the house, and I also added in a couple of trees.

Inside, I used the newly-unlocked boxing-ring mat to go along with the ringside seating that was unlocked for Moose's basketball house back on day 39. I made a boxing ring out of the red, blue, and neutral corners. Lucha naturally insisted on the boxing barracade, ringside table, and judge's bell. I then added cheering sounds as the sound scenery. You'd think all of this excitement would have Lucha all riled up, but instead, he took a little bird nap.

Day 86

Today, Phoebe the phoenix was on Main Street and she wanted a house of fire! Since she seems to like hot stuff, I picked out a home in the desert for her.

A gas pump was unlocked for this project, even though it seems dangerous to put one so close to fire! But I put it by her driveway so that she can fill up her own gas tank. On the other side of the property, I put in a bonfire and four tree stumps. Great for sitting around the fire!

Inside, the magma-cavern wall and lava floor seemed like natural fits. Phoebe insisted on a beacon fire, and I added just about every fire-related piece of furniture I had in my catalog.

If you can stand the heat, fly on over to Phoebe's hot new house at 0790-7742-555.

Thanks for stopping by. See you next time!
