Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So some blog entries will cover multiple game days. If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries. Or read my review.

Day 96

I connected to a Nintendo Zone to check for the new DLC for February, and Maddie the dog showed up at the office. She told me that she loves to send letters to her friends, so she wants a new house filled with cute stationery. I'm not sure why a new house is required just to write letters, but I didn't question it.

I picked a home up in the mountains for her. She can look out at the snow while being warm and cozy indoors by a fireplace, reading and writing lots of letters. Sounds nice, doesn't it?

I didn't do much to the outdoors, other than adding a few cedar trees. I considered putting a notebook rug out here, but it looked ridiculous outdoors--it's basically a big sheet of paper that says "Campus" on it.

The Campus set is unlocked with this project. It includes the notebook bed, set square table, eraser sofa, pen-case chair, notebook wardrobe, sticker tape liner, pencil screen, narrow clock, notebook rug, notebook wall, and notebook floor. I included all of it, as well as the fireplace I was already planning on. I hope the house doesn't burn down with all this flammable furniture!

I also gave her an editor's desk (facing the window) and an editor's chair. This is where she can get down to business and write those letters!

One (possibly) interesting tidbit is that the Campus set is based on a line of paper products by a Japanese company known as Kokuyo. But you don't have to live in Japan to buy some; Amazon has some Campus brand notebooks available. You might need a whole lot if you're trying to make furniture out of them though, so that might note be a good idea. :P

Thanks for visiting. I'll be back with more next time!
