A Mammoth Accomplishment

I got a letter in the mail from the snowman I built last time, and he sent me a snowman dresser. That’s the same thing the first snowman sent me! Great, so I’m already getting duplicates on just my 2nd snowman.

I found another note in a bottle on the beach. This one was from a hopeful baseball player asking for advice on how to throw a curveball. I was afraid the letter might be from a bear cub, so I didn’t want to help out. 😉

Dear Helpful Hint Guy, I can't throw a curveball. If I wanna throw a curveball like a pro, what do I need to do? Signed, Weak and FlabbyIn Able Sisters, I decided to buy this one-way tee. I was due for a change of clothes anyway.

Mabel: Ohh, yes, you're looking at a one-way tee. The price is 420 bells.Katrina had a tent set up outside of town hall, so I went inside and paid her 100 bells to tell my fortune. She said a shooting star caused a lost camel to second-guess itself. So how does that affect me? She said it may mean nothing…or everything.

Katrina: Perhaps it means nothing. But it may mean everything.
I think I’d like my money back.

I went over to the bulletin board to check out the message of the week. It recommended sleeping in. That sounds like a good idea of course, but this isn’t really a funny message. Well, I guess they can’t all be winners.

*Message of the Week* It's darkest before dawn. Sleep in.Pudge was still sick with a cold, and this time I was able to buy some medicine for him. Get well soon!

Pudge flips as he takes some medicine. At the museum, Blathers told me how he’s trying to overcome his fear of bugs. He got out his dictionary of insects and he runs his talon over each picture, as he tries not to retch.

Blathers: I lay my Giant Dictionary of Insects before me, fight my gag reflex, and...I donated a mammoth torso fossil, and that completed the mammoth on display! The museum is slowly, but surely, coming together.

Museum display: Mammoth.Back outside, I ran into Puddles. She wanted a new greeting, so I told her to say Captain Froggy. Her reaction was stronger than I expected.

Puddles: Captain Froggy! Yes! Yes! OH YES! PERFECT!! That is SO TOTALLY PERFECT!
So…do you like it?

I wrapped up my night by making another 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall. I did not attempt to make a snowman today.

See you all again soon! 🙂

Building a Perfect Snowman

It was snowing as I started up my game tonight. According to Kiki, it had been snowing all day.

Kiki: I can't believe it snowed all day long.

In the mail, I got a letter from the snowman I built last time. He sent me a snowman dresser; I’ll show a picture of it later on in this entry.

At Nookway, I saw that Tom Nook had a festive tree (Christmas tree) on sale for 1,300 bells. I bought it for my house. Even though Wild World doesn’t have most of the real holidays that the other Animal Crossing games have, at least it has some holiday related items like this.

Tom Nook: Why, yes, that would be a festive tree. It sells for 1,300 bells. In the museum, Blathers had some different dialogue today. He kept rambling about how he’s afraid of bugs, and how he thinks butterflies’ bellies are waiting to spew something at him.

Blathers: It appears quite squishy! It looks like it's waiting to spew something on you!I went down to the Roost to catch some live music, and K.K. performed a familiar song for me: DJ K.K.

By the time I got to Pudge’s house, I found him shivering and sick. Unfortunately, the shop had just closed a few minutes before, so I was unable to buy any medicine for him.

Pudge: I f-feel all sh-shivery... And every sq-square inch of me feels so achy.I found the snowman I built last time, and he seems to have lost some weight. And height. He’s a tiny little guy now!

My tiny snowman.I rolled up today’s snowballs and built another snowman not far from my old one. And unlike my first one, this one said he’s perfect!

Snowman: By Jack Frost's beard! L-look at me! LOOK AT ME! I'm PERFECT!Of course the first one still sent me a gift, so maybe he was perfect too (but just didn’t explicitly state that fact). Regardless, I know for sure this one will be sending me a gift in the mail.

I found three fossils once again today, but the museum only needed one of them. I made another 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall before returning home. Inside, I put my new song in the stereo and displayed my snowman dresser and festive tree.

My house as of December 17, 2016, featuring my new festive tree and snowman dresser.I know my house is still disorganized and has a random assortment of items. Eventually, I’ll probably come up with some ideas for it. But I’m still early in the game (relatively speaking), so it’ll take some time to build up a decent sized catalog of items.

Have a good weekend everyone, and I’ll see you next time!

My First Winter

Winter has arrived now, with snow covering the trees and ground. Except for the many dirt spots all over town, of course. Snowballs (for making snowmen) have also started appearing.

Snow covers the winter ground and trees, as I walk towards a snowball.I saw Chevre walking around, so I was a bit relieved to see that she didn’t move out. She didn’t have anything interesting to say tonight, though.

I made sure to check the bulletin board for the new message of the week, and it did not disappoint.

*Message of the Week* History? Written by winners. Message boards? Losers.I ran into Pudge outside of the museum, and he asked if I wanted to buy his plaster wall for 1,180 bells. After I told him that was too much, he gave it to me for free. I was grateful, but only for a moment. Until he called me scary, that is. What do you mean by that?!

Pudge: And don't worry about thanking me... You're scary right now!Puddles was also nearby, and she wasn’t being any nicer than Pudge. She was making fun of me for being poor, and she joked that I would be her best friend if she gave me one bell.

Puddles, laughing: Hey, if I give you one bell, will you be my best friend, splish?!I tried making a snowman, but I wasn’t having much success. Twice, I (apparently) crashed or otherwise destroyed snowballs behind trees. But I eventually found two of them fairly close together, and I was able to make a snowman. But, it was facing the back of Baabara’s house. Hopefully there’s not a window back there.

Snowman: Foooooooore! Say hey! Nice work putting me together like that.
What’s with Puddles giving me the evil eye in the background?

I found three fossils on my walk around town tonight. I think the snow makes buried items easier to see. Two of the fossils were donated to the museum, while the other one was returned to me.

I then made a 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall before ending my game for the night. See you again on Saturday!
