Moe Moves In

Even though today is Groundhog Day in America, Wild World does not celebrate the occasion.

I found Gracie outside of town hall tonight, and she was more than happy to insult my clothing.

Gracie: You are in need of some SERIOUS fashion first aid, STAT!So…I vandalized her car. Don’t try this at home.

Hitting Gracie's car with my shovel (animated GIF).The bulletin board nearby had an interesting notice: Bright Nights start next Monday! This will be a new event for me, and it already sounds more interesting than La-Di-Day or Yay Day.

-Bright Nights Notice- Bright Nights will start next Monday! Who will win the treasured crown of best light decorator?I found a new house in town, and I went inside to see who my new neighbor was. Turns out, it’s Moe the blue cat. I’ve never been a big fan of Moe; his eyes are so huge that they kind of creep me out.

My new neighbor Moe the blue cat.I did a little fishing with the intention of earning some extra bells. But to my surprise, I caught some new fish that I apparently hadn’t caught before! One after another, I caught a pond smelt, a squid, a sea butterfly, and a bitterling. I promptly donated them all to the museum.

After that, I did catch some other fish that I was able to sell. When I went into Nook’s for the last time tonight, Tom Nook had some news for me. He told me that the shop will be closed February 3rd (tomorrow) as the store expands.

Tom Nook: Yes, yes, Jeff, I want you to know we'll be closed February 3rd.

My fish money, along with fossil money and bells from the money rock, allowed me to make another 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall.

I’ll be back on Saturday with another entry. Hope to see you then!
