Flower Fest Begins

Now that April is here, the regular (non-fruit) trees are now pink. It’s cherry blossom season, so enjoy the colorful trees while they last. 🙂

Pink trees in April for cherry blossom season in Animal Crossing: Wild World. The flower fest is now underway. Before I got over to Tortimer for the full explanation, Big Top was telling me that flowers bloom brighter when they hear good jokes. He warned me against telling any “groaners.”

Big Top: So don't go around telling any groaners, OK? They could do permanent damage!Static let me know that Sunday is the last day of the flower fest. He told me to keep it in mind while I’m losing.

Static: Sunday's the last day! So just keep that in mind when you're losing, loser!I then made my way over to town hall, where Tortimer explained the event to me. He said that this week, Forest residents will transform the area around their homes into the garden of their dreams. On Sunday, he will judge the gardens and give the winner the title of Green Thumb.

Tortimer: Then I will grant the best gardener the esteemed title of Green Thumb! He then gave me a white pansy bag, to thank me for letting his heart’s garden bloom…with arteriosclerosis.

Tortimer: This is just a symbol of my thanks for letting my heart's garden bloom...

With arteriosclerosis! WAAH! Heh heh heh HOORF!
That’s exactly the type of groaner that Big Top warned me about.

The latest message of the week on the bulletin board said that there’s no “i” in team, but there is one in “traitor.”

*Message of the Week* There's no "i" in team. But there IS one in traitor! After finding today’s money rock and picking up my bells, I heard someone fall into a pitfall. It was Static! I didn’t even put that one there, it was just the day’s random pitfall.

Static: Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm stuck! Unlike you!
That’s what you get for calling me a loser.

Chevre had all of her furniture packed up in boxes, and she was ready to move out of town! But I got her to reconsider on my first attempt.

Chevre: Jeff, if you want me here so badly, I'll think about it. But no promises! When I visited Kiki, I saw that she finally over her cold. About time!

At the museum, Blathers had something bothering him again. He was upset because someone (clearly Crazy Redd) tried to sell Brewster some fake art. Blathers basically called Brewster simple and gullible. Blathers said he saved the day by scaring off Crazy Redd before Brewster bought anything from him.

Blathers: This wretch was trying to sell Brewster a counterfeit piece of art! Hoo-rrific!I only found one fossil today, an iguanadon skull. But it was one that I needed for the museum, and in fact, it completed the iguanadon.

When I returned home, I saw that my yard wasn’t really fit for a garden. The stone pavement in front of my house doesn’t leave room for me to plant many flowers! But honestly, I’m trying to win the flower fest anyway. I planted the white pansies that Tortimer gave me, but that’s all I’m doing. 😛 Good luck to the animals in town!

  1. I don’t know why but when Static falls in a pitfall it’s funnier then the rest, even funnier then.. well um.. J- a frog.

  2. I got the same scenario from Blathers a few days ago. It’s kind of like the backstory/other issue dialogues trigger randomly instead of through a series of conversations you have to have with the special NPCs.
