Disney Magical World Blog

Nintendo has provided me with an advance copy of Disney Magical World, which is now available for Nintendo 3DS. It has some gameplay similarities to Animal Crossing, while also featuring over 60 Disney characters. I'll be writing about the game and providing regular updates as I progress through the game. Want to start from the beginning?

Day 33: September DLC

After finally obtaining some rare items I needed for my unbirthday cake recipe, I held an Alice in Wonderland themed party with eight combos, including three secret combos. Alice showed up, along with the Chesire Cat and White Rabbit. Alice had an exclamation point above her head, which meant I was finally getting the Mysterious Heart Medal.

Yes, I'm a carrot. Don't judge me.
Here's the commemorative photo I took with them all.

Go ahead, laugh at my outfit. I don't carrot all.

I was finally able to make the WonderWatch Wand.

It's about time.
The next time my party meter filled up, I threw a Mickey party with the rare Mickey-themed foods. Mickey and Minnie showed up, and Mickey had the exclamation point above his head. That's right, I got his medal too!

I'm on a roll!
That allowed me to make the Mickey Star Wand.

I couldn't be picky; it's a gift from Mickey.
I now have all of the secret wands except for the Pirates of the Caribbean one. However, I'll still want to throw more Mickey and Minnie parties because I've seen some furniture/clothing that requires their medals as well.

Two attempts later, I got another Mickey medal and I used it to make the Mickey director chair. I have now made every piece of furniture that's listed at the workshop. My overall furniture collection isn't complete, though. I still need one space item and two Mickey items, and those may be rare items available at McDuck's. Also, there are a few furniture sets that I haven't even seen yet. I believe they may be seasonal sets for autumn and winter.

It's now September, and there are two new DLC items available: The Shiny Minnie Headband and the Casual Western T-Shirt. Both are free items.

You might not want to wear them both at the same time.
And since I've been making good progress lately, I've decided it's a time for an update. Here's a peek at my collection totals:

Headed in the right direction, regarding my collection.

UPDATE: According to a 3DS notification, additional DLC will be available on September 7th. It states that a free Witches Pumpkin Lantern will be available, as will a paid DLC for a Halloween seasonal set. The latter will include a Pooh Bee outfit recipe and a "Halloween Pumpkin" episode. Interestingly, it also says the free Shiny Minnie Headband comes out that day too, although I've already downloaded it! But I'll post another update at that time (perhaps in the form of a new blog entry), so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
