Disney Magical World Blog

Nintendo has provided me with an advance copy of Disney Magical World, which is now available for Nintendo 3DS. It has some gameplay similarities to Animal Crossing, while also featuring over 60 Disney characters. I'll be writing about the game and providing regular updates as I progress through the game. Want to start from the beginning?

Day 34: Halloween Season Arrives

I recently scored another Minnie Star Medal, and that allowed me to make a Minnie hood accessory. It's not that I wanted the hood of course, it's just that I'm trying to complete my collection of every item in the game.

After hosting another Pirates of the Caribbean themed party, Captain Jack showed up. And this time, he had an exclamation point above his head! That meant he was giving me the pirate medal!

Yarrr, this be what I wanted.
With that pirate medal, I was able to make the Black Legend wand. I now have all of the secret wands in the game! Even better, I think I have all of the cafe medals I'm going to need now, too. Unless some other recipes pop up that require them.

Just for reference, here is a list of all secret wands in the game:

September marks the beginning of the fall season in Disney Magical World, and new fall fashions are available at McDuck's. The skeleton furniture set is also available now.

Nightmares included for no extra charge!
As of September 7th, there are now Halloween decorations in the main Castleton plaza. Ghosts and jack o'lanterns galore!

Watch out behind you, Cinderella!
Also, Halloween furniture is now available at McDuck's.

Now I have two seasonal furniture sets to collect.
I also found a spooky pumpkin seed on sale at McDuck's. Outside, a resident asked me to model the Pumpkin King outfit in exchange for a coffin cupboard recipe. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get the Pumpkin King outfit just yet.

If anyone says I'm not the king, I'll squash those rumors!

New DLC is now available too. A seasonal set for Halloween includes a Pooh Bee outfit recipe and a "Halloween Pumpkin" episode for $1.00. This "Witches Pumpkin Lantern" [sic] is available as a free download.

This is a lot bigger than I pictured it!
The arrival of Halloween season brings some new life to the game, which is a welcome change. I was starting to run out of things to do after nearly six months with the game.

If you haven't picked up Disney Magical World yet, you can buy it at Amazon or download it from the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you next time!
