Disney Magical World Blog

Nintendo has provided me with an advance copy of Disney Magical World, which comes out on April 11th for Nintendo 3DS. It has some gameplay similarities to Animal Crossing, while also featuring over 60 Disney characters. I'll be writing about the game and providing regular updates as I progress through the game. Please share this blog with other Disney fans or anyone else who may be interested.

Day 9: Meeting Stitch

Yesterday, I planted some new seeds I found. Then when I harvested the resulting aqua tulips today, I got a sticker for harvesting 20 types of crops. Back in Castleton, a villager asked me for three four-leaf clovers. I had about 20 of them, so I gladly handed him the three he wanted. In exchange, he gave me the recipe for an Easter men's outfit.

I'll hide this outfit with the Easter eggs.
Honestly, dressing up my character isn't my favorite part of the game. If I'm not in an action quest, I'm usually just wearing my casual t-shirt and cap. But just from a collection point of view, I look forward to acquiring the outfits (and everything else). I also made another quest outfit I hadn't worn before and put it on; this earned me a sticker for wearing 12 ace ensembles.

I went to Cinderella's village to look for some sturdy oak branches I needed for furniture, and I found several of them in the third level there. That gave me all the wood I needed to build my Hawaiian table and everlasting-summer counter, which both fit the Stitch theme. After Chip and Dale built them, I was hoping this would complete my set, but I wasn't sure if it wood work. Fortunately it did, as I got a sticker for making "2+ theme combos at the cafe." This was my 35th sticker. Here's a look at my cafe.

A Stitch in time...
I was now able to hold the Stitch party, and Stitch himself made an appearance! I had the option of taking a photo with him, and right as Cameron took the picture, Stitch suddenly fell to the ground. What a comedian.

I didn't push him down, honest!
Taking the picture with Stitch also earned me another sticker. And when I spoke with my manager, I found out my cafe "owner level" went up to level 7. I went upstairs and did some minor redecorating in my room. I bought an Easter basket at the store earlier, so I put it on my coffee table. I also checked out Wren's cafe, Dreamers. She has a Mickey theme, and I actually like it a lot.

Wait, are you serving hot dogs in a skull?
I then decided to go to Aladdin's world for a new quest. Jasmine asked me to fetch her some fragrant flowers. Won't Aladdin get jealous? So I headed out to the palace to search for them.

I found them all and defeated the boss ghost without much trouble. I returned the flowers to Jasmine, and a few new episodes were unlocked. But I was about done for the night, so I'll save those for next time. Check back tomorrow for more!
