Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Appearance Guide

AC: Happy Home Designer Appearance Guide
Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer lets you choose your eye shape, eye color, hair style, hair color, and even your skin color when you first start up the game. It's not obvious how to change your appearance later on, but there is a way to do it.

After playing the game for nine days (in-game days, not actual days), Tom Nook will show up in your office to give you the Happy Home Handbook. The handbook offers a series of lessons, which can teach you new things or unlock new abilities. The first lesson is free, and it will be one that unlocks ceiling decor. Make sure you sit at your desk and take the lesson.

The following day (Day 10 in the game), a new lesson will be available: Choose the one called "Styling Machine." This lesson is not free; it will cost you five Play Coins.* Complete the lesson and then you can use the styling machine located on the second floor of your office building. You can change your eye shape, eye color, hairstyle, hair color, and skin color. The best part is that you can use it as often as you like! If you don't like how a hairstyle or color looks, you can use the machine again to change it immediately. This is much better than the salon in previous Animal Crossing games, since they only allowed one change per day.

Here is a look at all of the hairstyles in the game and all of the hair colors you can choose from:

*Note: If you don't have any Play Coins, put your 3DS into sleep mode and put it in your pocket as you walk around. Walking 500 steps will earn you 5 Play Coins. Other lessons also require Play Coins, so you may want to stock up (though you can only earn a maximum of ten Play Coins per day).
