What is Bunny Day?

Bunny Day is a holiday event in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that works like an Easter egg hunt. Find the eggs and return them (or their contents) to the Easter bunny (Zipper T. Bunny), who can be found at the event plaza. He will provide you with exclusive egg furniture.

Types of Eggs

There are six types of eggs scattered around town: Earth eggs will be found buried underground, tree eggs will fall out of trees when shaken, stone eggs are hidden in rocks, sky eggs will float by on balloons, water eggs can be caught like fish, and deep sea eggs can be acquired by diving. To get all six types, you will want to have a shovel, slingshot, fishing rod, and wet suit.

Getting the Egg Basket

The egg basket is harder to obtain than the other furniture items. You must give Zipper one egg of each type (that's six eggs in total) and he will reward you with the egg basket. Unlike the other items, you can only get the egg basket one time (per character).

How to Obtain Egg Furniture

The other, regular items are easier to obtain. Each time you find an egg, you can eat it to reveal its contents. It will often contain candy, which is essentially useless for now. (Save it for Halloween if you want, or just eat it). Otherwise, the egg will contain a winning ticket or a grand-prize ticket. A winning ticket can be exchanged for a piece of egg furniture, and a grand-prize ticket can be exchanged for Zipper's pic.

The water eggs will have a small (but not tiny) fish shadow. The following picture shows what to look out for.

The deep sea eggs will have a small shadow, and they will not move around. The following picture shows what to look out for when diving.

When Is Bunny Day?

The exact date of Bunny Day will vary from year to year, but it will always be on Easter Sunday. The event lasts the entire day (from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.). This chart shows the dates for Bunny Day from 2020-2028:

Egg Furniture

There are a total of 15 items you can collect on Bunny Day: Eleven regular furniture items, a carpet, a wallpaper, the egg basket, and Zipper's pic. If this is your first year participating, Zipper will not give duplicates of the regular items until he has given out a complete set. (You will get duplicates in subsequent years, however).
