As I started up the game today, I was informed that the fishing tournament was going on.
I also had mail from Crazy Redd; he sent me my mystic statue that I purchased yesterday. I quickly headed to the museum to donate it. But Blathers informed me that it’s a fake!
Very disappointing. While I was on Main Street, I did my shopping for the day. One of my fortune cookies wasn’t a winner, but it was good for a space shuttle–something I liked better than the Varia Suit, which was a winner. When I was done, I headed to my town tree to talk to Chip. He told me that this fishing tournament was about who could catch the biggest black bass.
I only had about 20 minutes to fish, but I caught as many fish as I could. I made a few trips to sell my catches, and I also dropped off some items at my house to make room in my pockets. This included my mystic statue, my space shuttle, and a drinking fountain I bought. The space shuttle looks really small compared to how it looked in City Folk. My steamroller dwarfs it.
Anyway, I ended up with the second-biggest black bass of the day. Harry’s was the biggest. So between 6:00 and 9:00, you can enter Chip’s tent to see the winners’ ceremony. I won a silver fish trophy. Yay, I’m #2!
And Chip congratulated all of us.
I then put my trophy in my house to take a look at it.
Before I quit for the night, I decided to take off my “rock ‘n’ roll” outfit. I put my yellow Pikmin in storage, and I’ll probably sell the eye patch. I’ll see you guys soon!
UPDATE: I went back on tonight to pitfall a couple of my villagers. I got Gabi and Katt! Here’s the video and a couple pictures:
