The snowboy sent me the snowman wall in the mail today; I put it into storage and then went to talk to Big Top. He asked for some fruit, so I gave him a perfect pear. In exchange, he rewarded me with……..wait for it……his picture!

Yes! Finally! I quickly put it in my house.

His favorite quote is on the back: “A big nose never spoiled a handsome face.”

It’s a big relief to finally have his picture. He has been in my town since May 8th, so that’s nearly nine months it took to get his picture! Anyway, I resumed my walk around town when Molly took notice of Meli’s Sagittarius arrow! She wanted to use it as a model for a painting, but I had to turn her down. She said she would have to find one of her own. Yeah, good luck with that.

I went to Tom’s town to grab a bingo number. Tom’s friend Kippei was there, and he glitched onto Tom’s instrument shelter. Tom then saved the game to kill him. Tom joked that he was under the weather. 😀 (On Kippei’s screen, he saw himself under the instrument shelter instead of on top of it).

Tom’s Re-Tail was paying 187 bells for turnips. That’s pretty good (especially considering I was running out of time to sell them), so I decided to sell my stash. It scored me a cool 224,400 bells.

We then did some glitching at Tom’s town tree.

Before long, Tom ended the party. When I got back to Forest, I went up to Main Street. I deposited my money into my bank account and it topped seven million bells. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Stefanie from Suppe recently enjoyed my dream town.

I also visited the Happy Homes Showcase to check out a new StreetPass home that was on display. I spotted a grammatical error in the game:

I then decided to do some Club Tortimer island hopping once again. On one of the islands, a guy named Curtis (from the town of Trapogan) said OMG as soon as I arrived. It turns out he knew me from my dream town and from my blog! Pretty cool! This is for you, Curtis:

On another island, I met Amanda, who was very nice. I went on a gardening tour with her.

I got a couple new pieces of mermaid furniture, and I’m up to 10 out of 13 now. I didn’t have any luck with cabana furniture today, so I think that contest may be a ways off still. But the mermaid furniture contest will likely begin next week sometime.

At 10:00 tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Saarah and Kim came over to visit. After a toy hammer fight, we started doing some glitching. Around 10:30, Hazael also came over and he joined in the glitching as well. Saarah used her tweeter to get through first, while the rest of us were using the net method.

Saarah was cheering us on, except she typed a 3 instead of an E for my name. “Give me a J! Give me a 3! e! Give me an F! Give me an f!”

When I was in a good spot (or is that a bad spot?), Saarah told me to save. After I did, I died.

Kim was having trouble doing the glitching (this was her first time doing it) and she found herself stuck up on the cliff.

I didn’t want Kim to get frustrated and never want to visit my town again, so I decided to end the party and then reopen the gate. So I did. But this time, Pelon and Meli were the visitors who popped into town. I was able to give Meli her Sagittarius arrow from yesterday. And Saarah rejoined the party soon after.

After doing some shopping, we went into Club LOL. Yuka and Katt were in there, unfortunately. Katt seemed to have her eye on Pelon! Or maybe she was just staring at his hot dog.

But the six of us danced for a little while.

Saarah said she had to go, so I was telling her goodbye…and then she said “sorry about this.” I thought she was talking about the glitching difficulties earlier, but the disconnection screen popped up. She disconnected instead of leaving out the gate…wow. :O

I reopened my gate once again, and Pelon returned. Nobody else came at first, but Tiffiny showed up a bit later on. We went out to the island to go on some tours and win some medals. I chose a bug-catching tour first, and to my disbelief, I actually won! That’s pretty rare, especially for a bug tour.

Between tours, Pelon seemed to be dancing around instead of sitting down so we could go on the tour. So I started making hot dog puns, telling him to sit on his bun so we could go.

We did a couple of scavenger hunts. During one of them, there were literally only three seconds left on the clock when Pelon got back to Tortimer. Now that was a close call.

For our final tour, I chose a fishing competition. Tiffiny was starting to say she wished there was a puking emotion. Maybe she didn’t like my choice of tours, I don’t know. 😀

The tours tonight didn’t award us with very many medals, though. I prefer the hide-and-seek tours, partially because they can end pretty quickly if things go right. Also, the giant dragonfly tour. Even though it lasts seven minutes, it awards everyone 20 medals for a gold prize, plus up to 10 more bonus medals. Too bad that wasn’t one of the choices tonight.

Anyway, we returned back to Forest and I then ended the party for the night. Have a great weekend, everyone!

In the mail today, I received a snowman carpet from the snowboy and a crew’s monitor from Wishy. Here’s a look at both items (and a white wet suit I bought yesterday).

Aurora approached me, telling me she was going to move out of town. I declined her request. Over by Re-Tail, I saw a shadow in the pond! I didn’t think there were fish in the pond this time of year! I tried fishing it out…

…and I caught a boot. I don’t know what I expected.

Big Top invited me over to his house, but when I got there, he said I was making him nervous by inspecting his house. So stop inviting! He also said he was hoping he’ll get X-ray vision. Uhh… don’t worry about what’s under my wet suit, pal!

By the way, virtually everything in Big Top’s house came from me. I’m always helping him out.

After building another perfect snowboy, I headed over to Tom’s town to check his bingo numbers. He saw my wet suit and suggested we go for a swim.

Kim contacted me and told me that she StreetPassed someone who had a Sagittarius arrow (Japanese DLC) in their home. So she asked if I wanted to catalog it, and I said yes. I put it up in my house to take a look at it.

As I was about to give it back to her, she said I could give it away like I gave away a silver axe yesterday. So later on, I offered it on Twitter to the first person who responded. The winner was Meli, who was already on my friend roster. She was unable to pick it up tonight, but I’ll try to get it to her tomorrow. For the record, it can be ordered from the catalog for 4,800 bells.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Carly from Hogwarts was my most recent dream visitor. Later on, I decided to do some island hopping and shopping. At one of my shopping stops, Sloan asked me to do a tour with her. So I agreed, and we actually did two tours. One of them was a shark-catching tour in which we finished tied.

I got several new pieces of mermaid furniture today, but nothing new from the cabana set. I currently have eight of 13 pieces from the mermaid set, and only four pieces from the cabana set. If I have trouble completing the cabana set in a timely manner, I may just make the upcoming contest for the mermaid set (instead of giving a choice). And then I could have a separate contest for the cabana set later on. I’ll keep you posted.

Anyway, here is a look at the mermaid stuff I’ve collected so far. (The clock isn’t in the picture because it’s way up on the wall, out of view).

I went to say hello to Agent S, and I had to question her furniture placement. Her TV faces a dresser. Why would you do that? Then again, she is a squirrel, so I suppose she could just sit on top of the dresser. Now that I’d like to see.

The snowboy sent me a snowman chair today. I can’t wait until I’m done with this set.

Big Top didn’t give me his picture today, but he did give me a new nickname: Chap. Ugh.

I built another snowboy, and he turned out perfect. So I’ll be getting another piece of snowman furniture tomorrow. Over by my bridge, I noticed the sun was starting to set. So I took this picture.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Charlie from Banyan was my most recent dream visitor.

I then had an idea occur to me. I have 700+ island medals and I rarely spend them. So I thought, why not collect the mermaid and cabana furniture sets, and then give them away in a contest? It allows me to have the items added to my catalog (even though they can’t be reordered, there are badges for catalog completion percentage) without having the items go to waste.

So I did some island hopping and bought a few pieces of each set. Once I complete both sets, I’ll announce the contest details. You’ll be able to enter on JVGS and/or Tumblr. The winner will get to choose one of the sets, and the other will be given away in a future contest.

Anyway, as I was island hopping, I finally saw the silver axe at the gift shop! It’s the axe that will produce the (otherwise rare) tree stump patterns when you chop down a tree. It’s not unbreakable, but it will reportedly last four times longer than a regular axe.

I bought one for me, and a couple extras. I gave one away on Tumblr to the first person who responded. The winner was Leah, so I took the axe to her tonight.

As I was leaving, I saw that she had a meteor shower in her town. So I wished on a shooting star.

So I should be getting something from Wishy tomorrow. Anyway, that ended my night in Forest. But I’ll be back with another blog entry tomorrow, so be sure to check back!
