Today is the day of Festivale, and confetti rains from the sky and villagers wear funny hats.
Among the confetti, you’ll also find feathers floating around. You’ll want to catch them with your net.
But the star attraction of Festivale is Pave’ the fabulous peacock. He’s a dancing machine.
The object of Festivale is to collect the colored feathers and take them to Pave’. If you give him three feathers of the color he asks for, he will give you a piece of Pave’ furniture.
Besides catching feathers with your net, you can also win them by playing mini-games with your villagers.
As I was searching for feathers, I saw Phineas! He gave me the Refurbishing Expert badge for customizing lots of items at Re-Tail.
When I had three feathers for Pave’, I exchanged them for a Pave’ sofa.
I also found a rainbow feather! It can be exchanged for a piece of Pave’ furniture at any time!
I updated my dream town and Luna told me that Bling from Bling was my most recent dream visitor.
Some of the animals looked really ridiculous in their Festivale costumes.
Tom invited me over to his town, where it was nighttime. Pave’ was all lit up.
Tom was wearing the Festivale clothing, and he looked like Dame Edna.
After I returned home, I saw Phineas again! This time he gave me the Neighborhood Traveler badge for visiting lots of towns! I wouldn’t have taken that picture of my badges yesterday if I knew I’d be getting two more today!
Villagers will sometimes offer to trade feathers with you. So they may offer you a yellow feather in exchange for a green one, for example. Other times, they’ll ask to play a game with you. If you win, you’ll get a feather from them. But if you lose, they get to take one of your feathers.
I needed three pieces to complete my set, and fortunately Kim was around to exchange our duplicate pieces so we’d both have the full set. Thanks, Kim! Here’s a look at the full set.
Wendy also came over to visit. She was catching feathers while I was redecorating my house for the picture above. I then helped her out on her search.
If you’re wondering how Festivale compares to the City Folk version, I’m going to tell you. 😛 I did not like the City Folk version. It used candy instead of feathers, but the object is essentially the same. The biggest difference is the ability to catch feathers randomly flying around town. This is an improvement and it adds to the fun, for sure.
However, the items Pave’ gives are still random, and you will receive many duplicates before completing the set. And you’ll likely end up stockpiling tons of feathers of certain colors, only to have Pave’ repeatedly ask for colors you don’t have. The whole thing is still tedious and extremely time-consuming.
If you’re trying to complete the furniture set, it can easily take hours…or all day, depending on how lucky you get with the items Pave’ gives you. This holiday is still a frustrating, colossal pain in the neck. It remains my least favorite holiday.
i have a qestion. how do you get the ability to dance or do you
You don’t actually get to dance for Festivale. Well, you could always do the Shrunk Funk Shuffle if you have it, but it’s not something that Pave will respond to.
