Weeding Day. Apparently.

Yesterday, Reese was paying 135 bells for turnips, so I sold all that I had.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 135 bells.I went to work at the Roost today, but Brewster told me he didn’t need any help. It wasn’t 11:00 yet, so I was a bit confused.

Brewster: Sorry... I don't really need any help right this moment...It all became clear when I went into the Emporium. The gardening section was closed off, with a note from Leif saying there was an event today. Oh, it must be Weeding Day! I forgot that was today! I was actually thinking it was tomorrow.

The gardening corner is closed today due to an event! -LeifBut Leif was not at the event plaza, so I was still a bit confused. After a bit of research, it seems that Leif will only be there until 7:00 p.m., and I played too late in the day to see him. That’s pretty disappointing. I know the GameCube version of Animal Crossing often had holidays where you had to find Tortimer by a certain time or forfeit your prize, but New Leaf is (generally) better about silly time limits on special events. Weeding Day is an exception to the rule, however.

Anyway, Daisy was feeling sick today. So I gave her some medicine, and she’s already starting to feel better. Good thing, too. Being sick is ruff.

Daisy: Ahhh... I think I feel it working already!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that today’s most recent dream visitor was Ana from a town called “a r s r,” oddly enough. Yesterday’s dream visitor was Nogo from Questess.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day to enter the giveaway for the egg furniture set and tweeter. As of the moment that I’m typing this, there are only about 20 entries so far. So your odds of winning are much better than in previous giveaways.

And one last thing that’s not exactly related to New Leaf, but it’s something that many Animal Crossing fans will be interested in. If you have Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, DLC Pack #2 is now available. It includes an Animal Crossing track, as well as Villager and Isabelle as characters you can choose from.

Here are two videos of the Animal Crossing track: The first one shows me exploring the Nooks and crannies of the track to see all of the Animal Crossing details.

The other video shows the Animal Crossing track in all four seasons. (The season is randomly selected each time you play). I think the winter version is especially gorgeous, but you can judge for yourself.
