Dog Gone

Yesterday, Pashmina told me she was sick recently. She needed medicine, but nobody took her any. Oops. I have a bad habit of only talking to animals that are outdoors, so I don’t always notice an animal is sick unless another villager tells me about them. Sorry, goat girl.

Pashmina: I had a fever and a cough, and I really needed some medicine!

I made sure to take a picture of my custom-design sign so you can see how it looks in the daylight.

My custom-design sign with the Cleveland Indians block C logo on it.I then made a dream visit to the futuristic, Star Fox themed town of Titania (dream address 4600-2642-5589). Patterns make it look like many of the town features are on tall towers that soar high above a futuristic city. It has a 3D look to it, and it’s very unique…and amazing, in my opinion.

Flowers and a rainbow in the dream town of Titania.I wrote up a full Dream Suite Adventure of the town, and you can see it here: Titania. So check it out for many more pics, including some of the references to the Star Fox series. It’s a great dream to visit!

As for my dream town, Luna told me that Essie from Leaftown was my recent visitor.

And of course, today was Daisy’s last day in town. So I made sure to say goodbye to her. It is sad to see her go…but maybe our paths will cross again someday. Good luck, Daisy.

Daisy: I've finally got all my stuff boxed up. I have way too many books...I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow, so I’ll see you then. Enjoy your weekend!

Unleashing Daisy

Yesterday, Daisy told me she was planning on moving out of town on September 30th (Friday). I decided to let her go. I like Daisy, but she’s been around for a while and it’s time to get some new blood in Forest.

Daisy: On the 30th of this month, I'm venturing out into the world. To celebrate the Cleveland Indians (baseball team) clinching their division (the AL Central), I made a new pattern tonight. It’s the block C logo that they use.

Me wearing the Cleveland Indians block C logo design.

Animal Crossing QR code for the Cleveland Indians block C logo.I have also added it to the QR Codes page and put it on my custom-design sign in town as well. However, it doesn’t show up very well at night.

The Indians' block C logo as my custom-design sign.I shook a tree near my house, and some furniture fell out (a bishop). But as I was about to pick it up, Bob walked up to the same tree…and he shook it too! He seemed disappointed that nothing fell out of the tree. I guess he didn’t notice my bishop just sitting there.

Bob looks disappointed that the tree didn't yield another item after he saw me shake one out of it.My recent dream visitors have been Marlon from Westcity and Emma from Tsuki. Thanks for stopping by!

Note: I have now converted all 800+ old New Leaf entries to WordPress and they are back on jvgs.net! If you’d like to revisit the early days of Forest, here is the entry from my very first day in Forest: Moving In. From there, you can either click the “previous” and “next” links at the bottom of the page, or just use the calendar in the sidebar to navigate to other days/months.

Seeing those early entries again was a nice trip down memory lane for me. That includes my early rivalry with Yuka, the time I got stuck wearing spacewoman pants and couldn’t remove them, getting ugly villagers like Tex and Katt, and the time when I thought the always-sleeping Cyrus was Reese’s son. I was quite surprised when he finally woke up and started yelling at me, telling me not to flirt with his wife! And of course there was the first Wi-Fi night too.

The old comments didn’t survive the move, but feel free to comment on any entry, old or new. What were your favorite memories from those early days?

Dreaming of Pastelia

Tonight, I visited Zoella’s dream town of Pastelia (update: the new dream address is 5C00-0039-FCB2). It was suggested by Gia a while back. There are two sets of outfits you can choose from when you arrive, and there are also balloons, pinwheels, and ice cream cones to pick up and use.

Me holding an ice cream cone in the dream town of Pastelia.Pastelia is a very pretty town, with lots of pastel colors, public works projects (PWPs) and flowers.

I saw an area separated from the rest with bushes. There was a sign there, so I went to go read it…and I fell into a pitfall. The sign says “Have a nice day.”

But on the bright side, all of those bags on the ground are ice cream cones that you can eat. I ate every last one of them. 😀 Yum!

In fact, sweets (and food in general) are a common theme here in Pastelia. There are cafés and bakeries galore! This town makes me hungry!

There’s a cool bank in the basement where the bank tellers are gyroids. I guess that makes sense for an underground vault.

Back in Forest…

As for my own town, the money I earned today kicked my bank account balance up to 82 million bells.

Your current balance is 82,000,000 bells. And tonight, I checked out some live music at Club LOL. K.K. Slider performed King K.K. for me. It’s actually a pretty boring song, I thought. But Sprinkle, Molly, and Shrunk seemed to enjoyed the performance. Shrunk in particular was really shaking his butt to the music.

2017 UPDATE

Pastelia’s old dream address of 4100-2171-4940 stopped working after the New Leaf update, but the town is now back online! The new dream address is 5C00-0039-FCB2. It looks much different now than it did last year, but it’s still a very beautiful town. Here are a few pics of Pastelia as of February 2, 2017:

A bell PWP surrounded by pink trees in Pastelia.Four-leaf clover paths, a fountain, pink trees, and Re-Tail as seen in Pastelia. There was also a maze made out of bushes.

Note: The town is apparently hacked, however. The bulletin board is at the event plaza instead of by the train station, and you’re able to walk onto the train tracks in the western part of town.
