Julian’s Goodbye

Over the weekend, I had my first snow flurries of the season. Winter is almost here!

Falling snow on a chilly November night.

It was also snowing in town again tonight. Since it’s Julian’s last day in Forest, I went to say goodbye to the unicorn.

Julian: I'm actually just now getting ready. I started packing up my stuff... with painful reluctance, of course...I was planning on giving Julian to Merka, but she seemed to disappear and I was unable to get ahold of her. So I offered Julian to Beth, and she gladly agreed to adopt him. She came over and had a chat with him. Whatever she said to him, it was enough to shock him into opening his eyes.

Julian opens his eyes as he talks to Beth.Julian then confirmed that he’ll be moving to Acorn. Good luck in your new town! I’ll have to stop by and visit sometime.

Julian: I've finally decided where I'm going to live next! Yup, I'm moving to Acorn, horn dog!Later, I made my way around to the drive-in campground. Harvey had something different for sale today, an exercise ball.

Harvey: Ah! So you're interested in my exercise ball...I took it back to my house to see what I could do with it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sit or jump on it. But I could bounce it!

Bouncing an exercise ball.I also took it to Re-Tail to see if it could be customized, but the only options were to make the ball blue or white. So I left it alone for now.

My recent dream visitors have been Nixxie from Termina and Ashlyn from Mayberry. Thanks for stopping by!

Exotic Decorating

I have now played all of the other modes in Animal Crossing Puzzle League. Apparently, I got a good score in the Time Attack mode, because Nintendo sent me a letter congratulating me. Some Flower Fairy boots were also enclosed.

The flower fairy boots. The other day, my bank account balance reached 85 million bells.

Your current balance is 85,000,000 bells.Yesterday was the harvest festival (aka Thanksgiving), but I played too late at night to participate (although I did participate in the ACCF harvest festival earlier in the day).

The New Leaf version of Franklin even referenced the earlier Animal Crossing games by talking about his fear of forks and knives. On GameCube and Wii, you had to take forks and knives and give them to Franklin in order to score harvest furniture.

Franklin: You know I had to get over a deadly fear of forks and knives? Ugh, just the names give me turkey bumps...Tonight, I found Pashmina sitting on the metal bench.

Pashmina: Oh! J-bot! You gonna sit down with me?She goaded me into joining her, so I took a seat. I only stayed for a couple of seconds, though. A mayor has things to do, if you haven’t herd. And I’m too stubborn to alter my plans for long.

Sitting with Pashmina on the metal bench PWP.I saw a tent at the campsite, so I went inside to see who was camping. Big mistake. Ankha was there, and I couldn’t invite her in because my town is still full! ARRRGGGHHH!

Ankha: Of course if things work out, I may end up moving here. You never know...This was the 2nd time she’s camped here when my town was full (the previous time was in July 2014). That’s okay though, I’ll get her someday.

Up on Main Street, I ran into my former villager Tom. It’s good to see him again, even if he does still live in my GameCube town too.

Tom: Yo, Jeff! How you been? I'm just here to do some shopping!I redecorated my main room tonight, and I’m finally using a furniture set I’ve mentioned liking for years. It’s exotic furniture, customized in black and red. Once I set the pieces out, I used the new Happy Home Designer style controls to move everything around.

Using HHD style controls to move my exotic bed in New Leaf. This is the end result. I kept my magic lamp out, for easy Amiibo scanning, and I also put my New 3DS and Wii U console where they’re easily accessible.

My black and red exotic furniture room.I moved the fruit-panel themed items over to my room on the left, replacing my sleek furniture. A lot of random update-related items are in here, along with some zodiac animals and a few other things. I may not keep it like this for long (or then again, I might), but I wanted this jumble of items out of my main room for now at least.

My recent dream visitors have been Sebas from Racoon, Julie from Wilkel, Kailey from PigVille, Luke from Alola, Kitty from Meowtown, and Jill from Bunny. Thanks for hopping over to Forest, you animals, you! 😉

Have a great weekend, everyone! See you next time!

Getting Luna’s Pic

I didn’t participate in the fishing tournament yesterday, but I saw the results posted on the bulletin board. It was a black bass-only tournament. Molly was the winner, while Aurora and Hamlet got 2nd place and 3rd place.

~ Results ~ The black bass-only tourney winners are... Winner: Molly. Second: Aurora. Third: Hamlet.I may be a few days late in mentioning this, but I’ve noticed that the fruit trees now have red leaves.

Three cherry trees with red leaves.I started playing around with the Amiibo Camera feature a bit lately. You can scan an Amiibo card or you can choose one of your current villagers. And of course, you can use your own character(s) too. Here are a few of the pictures I took, although the first one was an accident. 😛

An Amiibo Camera photo featuring Jeff, Daisy, and Molly. Here you can see Goldie sitting in the Urchin Underpass level of Splatoon. Don’t get splatted!

Daisy sits in the Splatoon level of Urchin Underpass. And then Goldie got shocked by the weirdness of Rhythm Heaven Fever.

Daisy gets shocked in Rhythm Heaven Fever.I’ll have to play around with that feature more another time.

Anyway, I spotted four owls up in the campground tonight.

Four owls at the drive-in campground in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.Instead of scanning Isabelle or Digby again, I decided to scan one of my Amiibo cards. I decided to go with Luna; I got her as my random card bundled with Happy Home Designer, but she is also available in Series 1 of the cards. You can’t ask special characters to move into your town of course, but I did ask Luna Wisp for a gift. I was given Luna’s pic.

Wisp, appearing as Luna: OK! Here it is. It's a vintage picture of Luna. Enjoy! The quote on Luna’s pic is “Dreams are but a reflection of your unconscious self.”

Quote on Luna's pic: Dreams are but a reflection of your unconscious self. And for the first time in years, I expanded the path around town! You may remember that part of my path in the southwest park used to be a dead end. But I extended it up to the CAT machine, over to the campground entrance, and then north up to the river (where it turns and rejoins the other path by my western bridge).

My newly expanded path to the CAT machine. My path goes to the campground entrance.I will need to breed just a few more gold roses (after using my spares that were on the beach), but that’s no problem.

On my way up to Re-Tail for a final time before I ended my game, Agent S pinged me. She bought an extra bathroom stall by mistake (who does that?), so she gave me one of them.

Agent S: Extra bathroom stall! Who woulda thought? Now that we have matching bathroom stalls, she said that makes us twins! I guess the word doesn’t mean what it used to.

Agent S: We're like twins! I love it!
