Space Traveler

Aurora recently sent me an A shirt in the mail. I decided to wear it for a while. I’m guessing the “A” stands for Aurora. Maybe she’s claiming me or something?

I’ve continued giving away some items to people lately. Someone left me a bag of bells even though I said I didn’t need the money, so I decided to give it away as well. I tried dropping it on a Club Tortimer island, and a Japanese player seemed to think it was an accident. 😛

Japanese player: U dropped money !Even though he didn’t need or want the money, I found someone else who gladly accepted it.

Nathalie: Thanks! :)

Back in Forest, I apparently did something that made Boots sad. I might have declined his request to play hide-and-seek.

Boots: I guess I'll just do some quiet, contemplative weight lifting by myself then. In a river.

Kate let me visit Reese’s RV, and I was surprised to see Reese talking about road rage. 😛 Thanks again, Kate!

Reese: What can I say? I just get SO ANGRY when other drivers don't follow the rules.Look at this fossil I dug up! I’ve never seen this one! 😉

Look! I dug up a fossil!

The fishing tournament was held on Saturday, but I didn’t participate. I was able to check out the winners’ ceremony, though. Vivian was the big winner, while Aurora won 2nd and Hornsby won 3rd.

Chip declares Vivian the winner of the fishing tournament in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.I’ve mentioned some good experiences on Club Tortimer recently, and I’ve had more of them over the past week.

Celebrating a successful island tour.

I met Mario on a Club Tortimer island.

But I also had this. This guy’s first words to me, completely unprovoked, were “pls get out.” The shop selection wasn’t very good, so I was happy to leave him behind. 😛 As I was leaving, he said that he blocked me. 😛

Foreign player: pls get outLater, I helped Ghost get enough visitors to her town so that she could upgrade her train station. She even let me join her at her town tree to check the number of visits she’s had.

Sitting at the town tree of Hollow with Ghost.

Once she reached her goal, we celebrated with an obligatory Shrunk Funk Shuffle. I wanted to fire off some party poppers, but I didn’t have any. 😛

On Facebook, I gave away more items over the weekend. I even saw TZ again and I gave her some beans.

T Zelda: Yay bird food!

Colin dropped off Katie at my town on Friday, and by Sunday, Katie was ready to explore a new place. I found someone on Facebook to take her; her town name provided for some interesting dialogue from Katie.

Katie: OK, I'm gonna go see what My Anus is all about!

My visiting spree appeared to be paying off when Agent S told me she has heard I’m a pro visitor. I’m pretty sure nobody’s ever said that about me before.

Agent S: Hey, muffin! I keep hearing people say you're totally a pro visitor!Yesterday, Vivian suggested a new PWP (public works project) for me. She wants me to add a hot spring to town!

Vivian: Good. So I think I'm going to tell Isabelle my bright idea. We need a hot spring!

That was the last of the snooty PWP suggestions I needed! In fact, I believe all of the non-bridge PWPs have been suggested and added to my list now! (You can’t get new bridge suggestions when you already have three bridges.) Anyway, this is what the hot spring looks like.

Hot spring PWP: 98,000 bells.

It is a nice one, and I may consider it if/when I decided to add a new project to town. It would have been a fun one to glitch into though; too bad Nintendo fixed the net glitch with the Welcome Amiibo update.

As for Vivian, I still don’t plan on letting her move out anytime soon. Of course, it takes forever for the Welcome Amiibo villagers to ask about leaving anyway. So if you’re wondering who I’ll let leave next, I think it’ll be Lily.

I made some more train visits, including to Ashe’s town. She was looking for a mermaid dresser, so I bought one on the island and took it to her.

Ashe: Hello.

And late last night, I finally saw what I’ve been dying to see: Phineas!! He gave me the Space Traveler badge for making 500 visits to other towns!

I got the Space Traveler badge! Looking for someone to travel with? Look no further!Space Traveler: A badge for players who never stop traveling.

This badge took me forever–four and a half years! And I still would have been waiting if I hadn’t made a concerted effort to make lots of visits over the last several weeks. This is what my badge collection screen currently looks like.

My badge collection as of November 21, 2017.

There are only two badges left, but I’m not worrying about getting them anytime soon. The weeding badge could take me another year or two, and I may never get the gold StreetPass badge. So here is a GIF showing my badge progress over the past four years.

Today, Harvey had a basic display stand for sale at the campground. I thought this would look better in Booker’s house than the tables I was currently using, so I bought it. Of course, I’ll need a lot more of them. But fortunately, I have Candi’s Welcome Amiibo card, and she has the stand in her RV. So I scanned her card and ordered three more.

Inside Candi's RV.

I’ll need to repeat this a few more times, but Booker’s house will look a lot better once I’m done.

My recent dream visitors have been Grey from Softspot, Beth from Ponytown, Sienna from Dogster, Lara from Polen, and Din from Labrynna. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. @Jeff I do not have a Switch. I really need someone to giv- errr, lend a gold axe. I do have perfect cherries here. For,spoiling villagers!

    1. Thanks, I’m glad you like the blog! I’m not really looking to add anyone on 3DS any more unless it’s just to make a delivery/trade or something. I don’t play online much otherwise, especially now that I have the visiting badge. But if you have a Nintendo Switch, I’ll gladly accept a friend invitation on there!

      1. Awwww… I don’t have a Switch. I do have perfect cherries for you to smuggle- I mean, give to your villagers. I also need to borrow a gold axe. (I have WAY too many trees!)

      2. I don’t have a Switch, but if you want some perfect cherries, I’m the go-to! Plus, I need to borrow a golden axe…

        1. I dunno if you’ll even see this, Cohen, but I have a spare golden axe you can have! If you can message me on tumblr (perfectlysaltedritzcracker) I can get it to you if you’d like!

  2. I recently got inspired by your urge to get badges, so yesterday I went all out by looking for crowns. They were surprisingly good deals for me.. one of them is: *Get 3 scale-armor suits for all my crowns* After I sold so many crowns, I got one hundred million in my bank. Thank you for inspiring me.

  3. Congrats on that gold badge!
I like to give away Bells on Club Tortimer as well. I usually give 5 million per person, maybe 10 million if they’re nice. If they beg they get 1,000 Bells (to fake them out thinking its a lot)

I have lots of Bells since I have infinite perfect fruit baskets that hold infinite amounts of fruit. Would you like some?

  4. I’ve been playing 4 years also, just got my first golden stag a couple weeks ago. But I don’t play daily and had been off for some time. Back into it though! Some Japanese person left be 10k on the Island a last week too, lol. Have a great Thanksgiving!

    1. Congrats on the golden stag! And welcome back to the world of New Leaf. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to you as well (if you’re in the U.S.). 🙂

    1. Thanks! I started it out, but I may not play it very much. My tablet is old and outdated, so the game doesn’t run very well on it. It’s choppy and barely playable at times, unfortunately.

    1. I started playing it a bit, but my tablet is old and outdated. So the game runs very slow and choppy; it’s almost unplayable at times. So I may not spend much time with it.

    1. Yes, someone told me about that. It would have been nice if he provided a link to the guide in the video description, but I left the link in a comment.
