Today was the day of the Bug-Off competition, but I didn’t have a whole lot of time after making my rounds. But I did grab some bugs from my dock box to give Nat. I started out by giving him a horned dynastid, which took over the #1 spot, but only scored me 69 points. Nat gave me a cabin wall as a prize.
After giving him another horned dynastid that didn’t break the record, I upped the ante by giving him a goliath beetle. It scored 88 points, and Nat gave me a snail clock. After that, a cyclommatus stag scored 92 points and earned me a ladybug carpet, and a horned elephant scored 99 points and earned me a ladybug chair.
I put my 3DS in sleep mode for a while, and returned after 6:00 for the ceremony in Nat’s tent. My 99-point score held up and I won the gold trophy. Gala got 2nd place and Sprinkle was in 3rd.

After 8:00, I went over to Club LOL to catch out K.K.’s weekly performance. I told him I was in a grumpy mood and he played K.K. Jongara for me.
The fireworks festival is tomorrow, so I’ll be back with more then. I plan on opening my gate around 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
