This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 12: All Grown Up

Darth Vader and Conan were fighting over a bowl of clotted cream for some reason. They were pulling it, stretching it, and even calling it their best friend and soulmate.

Yesterday, I babysat Xavier again. I spun him around and he enjoyed it. But if I kept him still for too long, he would get upset and make a face at me.

Maeby got a letter from someone who wanted to meet her up on the roof.

I told her to go see what it was all about, and to my surprise, it was Jeff up there! He was wearing glasses and a fake mustache. Wow, I'm weird!

Maeby's happiness meter leveled up, and I gave her a new catchphrase: "Marry me."

And today (June 16th, 2014), a new SpotPass item became available: a wedding dress!

It'll be available to download now through June 30th, but that just gets it into your import shop. You'll still need to buy it if you want it, and the price is going to be a problem for most players: It costs $3,500! Who has that kind of money? I sure don't!

The next time I picked up the game today, I got a call from Miss Piggy. It turns out Xavier is all grown up already! Wow, they grow up so fast!

He's not even a week old and Zoidberg and Miss Piggy are already kicking him out of the house! I was presented with two options for what to do with him. You can let him move into his own apartment and he'll become a regular resident, or you can let him travel the world via StreetPass. Whichever you choose will be a permanent decision. If he moves into an apartment, you can't later let him travel. And if you let him travel, he can't move in (although he may visit from time to time). Since this is my island's first kid, I decided to keep him around.

I was then given a photo album of baby Xavier.

It shows pictures of Xavier growing up and fun times with his parents.

While the photos display on the top screen, the game's credits are displayed on the bottom screen.

"Memories" are fabricated to make the slideshow seem sentimental. I never saw the family go to the amusement park. It's all lies!

But it is a cute look back at a child's life, even if the timeframe is ridiculously unbelievable. Here, Zoidberg scared baby Xavier.

At the end, some short home videos are shown.

At town hall, a new section opened up called "child info." Here, you can view the family albums again. It also has a section for travel records of kids you let travel. I'll have to try that out with a future child.

On the local news, it was reported that a massive beast has been spotted! Oh no!

The rankings board added a new section today: Pampered rankings. You can see which of your Miis has received the most attention from you. It looks like Elly been getting more of my time than my other Miis.

And Bobby Hill was having a very weird dream. A Popeye fairy warned him of carnivorous omelets!

He used the power of drumsticks to turn into the Bobby Hill Ranger.

That boy ain't right, I tell you what.

Velma also had a strange dream: Ten island residents were walking around a huge tub of popcorn, saying "All hail the popcorn."

And last but not least, Shaq also had a dream. He was standing in front of a mirror, playing rock-paper-scissors with himself. And losing.

See you next time! I'll leave you with a QR code for Darth Vader:
