NEW LEAF BLOG

Jeff's Tomodachi Life Blog

This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 25: Vacay Swimsuit DLC

Xavier requested a new hair color. At least I think it was Xavier under that hat.

Fine, but I get to choose the color. Green it is! Now you're ugly enough to be an Animal Crossing character!

One of the other kids of the island had an even odder request: Bobby Hill wanted to wear something weird on his head.

So I looked through my list of hats, and I found just the thing. What's weirder than a fish hat?

And wouldn't you know? He loves it! That boy just ain't right, I tell you what.

A newsflash informed me that I have now unlocked the splurge rankings. It's a list of the islanders that you've spent the most money on.

It was no surprise that Elly was #1 on my list. I was a bit surprised to see Darth Vader, Bobby Hill, and Breezy ahead of Jeff though.

But the most surprising thing of all was that Miss Piggy was dead last on my list...even below the Miis that I've added fairly recently! I think it's because she lives in the Homes area now, so I rarely see her on the apartment screen. That situation should improve once more couples get married and move into homes; I'll have more reasons to spend time at the Homes screen then.

Wolf Bobs Island currently has 32 residents. Here is a picture of them all, taken at the Photo Studio.

By the way, I have recently added QR codes for Maeby and Lucille 2. They are available on the QR Codes page.

Nintendo has released a new SpotPass (DLC) item for August, the vacay swimsuit. The male version consists of swimming trunks, while the female version is a bikini. You can buy these at your import-wear shop.

Mr. Bean confided that he had feelings for Maeby, so I told him he should sing her a song.

He then asked her if she would be his sweetheart. She said no.

This evening's newscast had a jarring story: It seems that Charlie Brown has really gotten himself into a pickle this time!

I just want to know why the cameraman chose to take this picture instead of actually helping Charlie out. News photographers only care about blowing the lid off of a juicy story and prying into people's business; they're a snoopy bunch.

Elly was upset because she had a fight with Buster. I gave her a bath (set) to calm her down, and then she went to try to patch things up with Buster. Unfortunately, her plan backfired and the fight actually escalated. They were arguing over a teddy bear (is that me?) and stretching it and pulling it. It wasn't a pretty sight...especially for the bear. Careful Buster, you don't want to pull the bear's arm off! But I'm sure it'll be all right.

Elly was really depressed, so I kept giving her gifts until she started to feel better. That included a vacay swimsuit, and some hair color spray to make her hair red again (it washed off in the bath earlier).

There haven't been any new marriages lately, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. Stay tuned, and I'll see you all next time!

Notes: Nintendo has graciously provided me with an advance copy of Tomodachi Life. Thanks, Nintendo! All Miis shown were made by me or my friends and are not in the game by default.
