This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 27: Shadow Quiz Gripe

I forgot to mention it last time, but I found out that meatballs are Mr. Saturn's all-time favorite food. BOING!

Later on, Mr. Saturn wanted to set up Squishy and Inigo. I told him to go ahead and give it a try.

Their date went well, and they're now sweethearts! Well done, Mr. Saturn.

Meanwhile, Mario told me he felt like he was born to save the world! How true that is!

While talking to Lucille 2, I was skipping through the text a little too quickly, and I accidentally told her to break up with George Sr.! Oops!

She seemed depressed, but she quickly changed her tune.

George Sr. was taking it hard, though. The breakup sequence started playing when I spoke to him. Watch out for the glare off of his head.

He was feeling quite blue, so I gave him a travel ticket. He took a trip to Japan, where he visited sites such as Kumamoto Castle and Mount Fuji.

Once he returned, he started feeling much better.

When I gave Velma a PB&J sandwich, she fell to the ground. It was her worst food.

After getting a StreetPass tag, a boat dropped off some monkey hats from Elbow Island. I already had some monkey hats that arrived from a different island before, but these new ones were brown instead of pink.

Miss Piggy and The Count apparently had a huge argument, because they were both flaming mad.

In fact, The Count was so mad that he was counting backwards! You don't want to be around a flaming Count when he reaches zero!

I've been seeing a lot of "hot" arguments like that lately. They require you to find a third person who can calm them both down. But in this case, I didn't find that person.

In other news, Maeby had a meltdown after eating some corn on the cob! It was her worst ever food! But how can you not like corn on the cob? That's a little cornball.

I'm going to talk about one small gripe I have with this game: The Shadow Quiz. In this mini-game, you have to guess which items are being shown by their shadow/outline. Quite often, the items shown are food items. And most food items are shown on plates...which naturally, have round outlines. So how are you supposed to tell? Which two items are these?

Here are the choices:

Bzzzt! It was obviously fish cakes and chocolate gateau. Mr. Bean shook his head and looked so disappointed in me.

Do these annoy you too or is it just me?

Anyway, I tried to make a "Weird Al" Yankovic Mii. Even though Weird Al seems pretty cartoony, recreating him wasn't as easy as I hoped. I may still make some changes to his face, but this is how he currently looks:

On the Mii News, it was reported that Lindsay took over the karaoke bar. Despite not initially wanting to sing, she reluctantly grabbed the microphone and never let go for the rest of the night. No word if she sang a duet with Annyong, however.

And while giving Buster some food, I found out he doesn't like melons. They're his worst ever food. Don't worry, Buster. You're going to be all right.

Before I wrapped up my game for the day, Velma told me she had feelings for Annyong. I told her to tell him how she felt, so she went down to the beach and asked Annyong to be her sweetheart. He said yes!

See you next time!
