Jeff's Tomodachi Life Blog

This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 29: Aloha Shirt DLC

I recently played a zoom quiz mini-game with Charlie Brown. I had to guess if this picture was lemonade, a compass, or a banana. What does it look like to you?

I guessed it was a compass, because it seemed like the only one that could have a solid patch of white. But no, it was a banana.

The patch of white was just the background. So the zoomed-in picture did not include even one pixel of the item I was trying to guess. Yeah, that seems fair.

Conan and Velma both showed me their funny faces they've been working on. Conan's head got stretched out vertically and narrower at the chin, while Velma's face did the opposite.

Zoidberg called me and asked me to help out with the new baby Amelia. I was told to pat or tickle her to make her happy. At first, I wasn't doing so well.

But I had better luck when I started playing peekaboo with her.

Later on, Jeff became my first Mii to reach level 20! Once a Mii reaches level 20, a new option is available to give that Mii a gift: You can now give him or her any item of clothing in your collection! Wow!

It doesn't even matter how expensive the item normally is, so I gave Jeff a suit of armor! As an additional reward, I got a silver coin.

I had recently given Buster a dinosaur suit, and it really fit the occasion when he said his catchphrase, "I'm a monster!"

Yukon Cornelius told me he wanted to get to know Charlie Brown better and travel with him!

I wasn't sure Charlie's mother would let him go, but to my surprise, she loudly trumpeted her approval. So they boarded an iceberg and headed to France. They visited Strasbourg and Paris, and they took turns blinking in each picture.

When they returned, Yukon gave me some fancy soap, which was added to my treasures.

As of August 16th, a new SpotPass item is available--the aloha shirt. Gaston was wearing his, and he's ready for some hot Hawaiian fun. All he needs now is a good lei.

The shirt is available in four colors at the island's import-wear shop.

I again babysat Amelia, and unlike last time, she seemed to enjoy being patted on the head.

When I bought a grab bag for $50 at the night market yesterday, I hit the jackpot! Two of the three items were interiors: One was a pirate ship and one was this fancy-looking Versailles interior. It's based on the Palace of Versailles in France, but as far as I know, it had nothing to do with Yukon and Charlie's trip. Just a coincidence...or in French, une coïncidence.

Amelia continues to grow, and I've already been swinging her around in her backyard. Here's a picture of mother and daughter smiling. You can certainly see the resemblance.

I saw this on the Mii News today. This can't be good...

Apparently Jeff was napping in a meadow for some reason, when a large flock of sheep surrounded him!

"Ewe wool regret this!"

Before wrapping up my day today, I checked in on the Mii Homes. At Zoidberg and Miss Piggy's house, Amelia was playing in a sandbox. Jeff was there for a visit, wearing his suit of armor. Perhaps he was afraid more sheep would attack him?

I spun Amelia around again today, and I noticed she's looking different. Her eyebrow/snout hairs have darkened...

And Zoidberg told me he wanted to eat something sour.

Since his wife is Miss Piggy, one thing came to mind instantly: Sweet-and-sour pork! I looked through my list of food, and I actually had some!

But when I gave it to him, he nearly choked and then he fell to the floor. He thought it was the worst!

In Inigo and Squishy's house, they were preparing dinner. Inigo, the swordsman, was taking care of the knife duties, while Squishy was handling the frying pan. I didn't actually see any food, however...

Thanks for visiting! I hope you've enjoyed this entry and the others too! See you next time!
