NEW LEAF BLOG

Jeff's Tomodachi Life Blog

This blog describes my crazy adventures in Tomodachi Life, a bizarre simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. It is available now. Check out my Tomodachi Life review, scan QR codes, or buy Tomodachi Life at Amazon.

Entry 37: Mummy Costume DLC

I recently gave Jeff the pumpkin hat and now he's a real Jeff o' Lantern!

Buster and TZ had a nice moment, building a sand castle (or sand hut?) on the beach, near the ocean. You've got to hand it to Buster for facing his second-biggest fear. Fortunately, there were no loose seals out today.

Maeby decided to set up an unlikely couple, Darth Vader and Princess Peach. Surprisingly, they hit it off and they're now sweethearts!

I know The Count enjoys counting bats, so I recently gave him a bat...a baseball bat. He and Jeff were playing some baseball at the observation tower. Wait, at the tower? I see grass on the ground! This must be at the base of the tower instead of on top. But still, it seems like an odd place to be swinging bats. Why not the park?

Just a note that I have added Miis for Squishy and TZ to the QR Codes page if anyone wants to scan them for your own islands.

After StreetPassing another Tomodachi Life player, a boat arrived from Fleelf Island. A new import item was dropped off, the "skirt & scarf." The boat also took Scarlett away. Here's a look at the skirt & scarf.

I gave Squishy some corn flakes, and she melted into a gray puddle! Was it the work of a cereal killer? No, but corn flakes are her worst ever food!

I gave Buster some onion gratin soup, and he started dancing! It was his all-time favorite food.

But that wasn't all! When I then gave him a red chili pepper, he blasted off into outer space! Heyyy, astronauts! It was his super all-time favorite food.

In the train station, Maeby proposed to Alien. He said yes! I'm afraid to see what their kids will look like.

They got married right away! This was the island's fifth wedding.

For their honeymoon, they went all the way to America.

Back on Wolf Bobs Island, I filled Snoopy's bowl with corn flakes. When he woofed wolfed them down, he had the same reaction as Squishy! He melted into a gray puddle of doggy juice.

Maybe these islanders aren't big on cereal. So I gave Bomberman some french fries instead, and he loved them! He started dancing around; they're his all-time favorite!

Peach had a similar reaction when I gave her a hot dog. She did the happy weiner dance.

That was her all-time favorite, and it leveled her up. I chose to give her a catchphrase:

Her stomach still wasn't full, so I also gave her a fried egg. She blasted off into space! No yolk!

It was her super all-time favorite. I didn't want to ruin her mood, so I didn't tell her it was Yoshi's egg she just ate. But seriously, what are the odds of finding the all-time favorite and super all-time favorite foods back to back like that? Her stomach must be egg-cited!

It's October now, and that means there's a new SpotPass (DLC) item available. It's the mummy costume, which is perfect for Halloween! Or for hiding your face. It comes in four colors, but it has a hefty price tag of $999. Ouch.

The new month also brings a new Halloween interior. It costs $300, which is much more reasonable than the mummy costume.

While trying to cheer up Inigo, I accidentally found out that grilled cheese is his all-time favorite food. He couldn't stop dancing!

My name is Inigo Montoya. You grilled my cheese. Prepare to eat.

Thank you for visiting! Please come again! :)
