Perfect Snowfamily

Late last night, Teddy tried to tell me he was moving out on January 2nd. Permission denied.

Teddy: Honestly, my plan was to stay, but only if you asked me to.Then today, I tried making my first snowtyke (using two small snowballs that were just barely big enough to be pushed instead of kicked), and I was successful. The tyke was happy with his appearance.

Snowtyke: You got my head and body just right! You're amazing! He then asked if his family was nearby (they were). He said they’re the perfect snowfamily and he’s going to send me a gift in the mail for making them all so perfect.

Snowtyke: We all look so cool! We're the perfect snowfamily!I had to walk up in front of the town tree to catch them all in the same picture, but here they are.

All four members of my perfect snowfamily.A bit later, Kidd asked me to visit his house. He again told me not to look in his dresser, but this time he said it’s because his baby pictures were in there.

Kidd: My baby pictures are in there. Wait! I meant my...Not-baby pictures are in there! Nice cover...So of course, I just had to take a look. Apparently the pictures look just like him?

This is so much like him it's scary...Well, they are him, of course. But maybe that means he looks the same as he did in the pictures. And that made me think, maybe “baby pictures” doesn’t mean pictures of Kidd when he was a baby…maybe it means pictures of Kidd dressed up as a baby! That would explain the baby binky from yesterday! I didn’t dare open up any more dresser drawers, because I was afraid I’d find a box of diapers next.

Kidd was getting nervous about my snooping, and he was afraid I was figuring out his secret. So he tried to change the subject to TV shows. But he was so flustered, that he couldn’t even think of a specific show! He just referred to the one where people do stuff and something happens! Ha!

Kidd: I gotta admit, I really love that one show where all those people do the stuff and then something happens. After learning way more about Kidd than I ever wanted to know, it was time to leave.

Later on, I went up to Club LOL to watch K.K. perform a song. I actually had a request for him this time: Hypno K.K. It’s a creepy song that I knew from Aika Village.

K.K.: Hypno K.K.'s a secret song...

Rolf’s Petition

Last night, I stopped to take another look at Velma’s igloo. It was lit up from the inside and looked really pretty.

Velma's beautiful igloo illuminated at night.I found a lost item near the town tree, and I eventually tracked down its owner, Teddy. He said it was a good thing that I found it instead of an evil genius. Excuse me? What makes you so sure I’m not?

Teddy: Ha ha! I'm glad it was you who found this instead of some evil genius! Oh pooh. Then today, I got my basic painting in the mail from Crazy Redd. I took it up to Blathers, and he informed me that it was a fake. What a disappointment.

Blatyhers: Oh dear! Upon closer examination, I have some grave news to share with you, Jeff! It's a fake!Rolf asked me to collect signatures for a petition called “Against Judging Faces.” Tom invited me over to his town to get his bingo numbers, so I decided to try collecting the signatures there. He had some interesting tiles that seem to warp when you walk across them.

Tom's path tiles that seem to move when you walk across them.Three of his four snowmen had numbers I needed, so I got them all. I’m still one number short of a bingo, though.

Snowman: So close! I sincerely hope you get a bingo with your next number. If I could, I would cross my fingers!Quite a few of his villagers were already in bed, but I found enough to complete my petition. Apollo, Sylvia, Marshal, Amelia, Cheri, and Angus joined the cause.

Petition signatures: Apollo, Sylvia, Marshal, Amelia, Cheri, Angus. It would have been funny to have that petition signed only by ugly animals (Jambette, Tabby, Katt, Hazel, Beardo, etc.). But ain’t nobody got time for that.

Anyway, I returned to Forest to look for Rolf. But first, I stopped in Kidd’s house. He told me not to look in his dresser, because that’s where he keeps his baby binky. 😮

Kidd: That's where I keep my baby binky and...wait. I don't mean that!Soon after that, I found Rolf and gave him the completed petition. He rewarded me with his picture again!

Rolf: As a thank-you gift, you can have my Rolf's pic!I continued catching snowflakes and trading them in for ice furniture. That helped my bank account balance top four million bells for the first time.

Your current balance is 4,035,000 bells.I spoke with Teddy, and he told me that he’s afraid of his own strength. He may be strong, but he’ll always be a big teddy bear to me.

Teddy: I'm starting to become afraid of my own strength... Seriously, bro.At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest and Patty came over to visit. After she shopped at GracieGrace, she showed me her new look.

Patty's new look.We hung out for a while and she left around 10:45. By 11:00, I closed my gate for the night. I was surprised nobody else came. I don’t know if they were having trouble connecting, or if just nobody was interested in visiting.

At any rate, I plan on opening my gate on New Year’s Eve Tuesday night. I’m not sure what time it will be, but possibly 11:00 or 11:30 Eastern Standard Time. I don’t plan on opening my gate next Friday.

That’s all I have for now. Have a great weekend!

Kadomatsu DLC

I was surprised to see Pete at my door when I started up the game today.

Pete: I have an express delivery for you from Nintendo. He gave me a new DLC item called a kadomatsu. Here’s a picture of it next to a snowman dresser that I also received in the mail today.

The kadomatsu DLC next to my snowman dresser.Right after taking that picture, Tabby (why her?) called out to me. Ugh. When I entered my main room, she barged in, saying nobody makes an entrance like her.

Tabby: Ta da! No one knows how to make an entrance like Tabby!
How about making an exit instead?

Once she left, I saw that there was an igloo over at the campsite. Velma was camping inside, but I saw no sign of Scooby-Doo.

Velma: I'm just visiting Forest. But who knows? This place is so beautiful, I just might move here.Crazy Redd’s tent was set up over by the event plaza, so I went inside and took a look. Two of the items he had were ones I already had in my museum, and another I knew was a fake. So I bought the only thing left, which was this basic painting.

Redd: Well, look at that! You've noticed that basic painting?!Over by town hall, I saw a new purple rose; I believe it’s my first one.

My first purple rose. And since today was the third straight day of snow, I got tired of seeing all these snowflakes fly by and not being able to catch them without filling up my pockets.

So I decided to make a snowmam, even though I already have the ice set. It’ll be an easy way to earn some extra money, since the ice furniture sells for 8,888 bells apiece. The idea became even better when I pushed the snowballs together and found out that she was a perfect snowmam. That means I’ll get 8,888 bells for every three snowflakes I catch! Good deal!

Snowmam: This balance... I'm perfect! When I went up to Main Street, I saw that Anya from the town of Heart was my most recent dream visitor. And I realized that all of the Christmas season went by without the Emporium ever carrying the large festive tree. Oh well, maybe I’ll get one next year.

Thank you for reading and come again soon! 🙂
