Sunday was Bunny Day (Easter), and I think Bob was more excited about it than I was. 😛

Bob, standing near Zipper on Bunny Day: HOORAY AND YAY FOR BUNNY DAAAY!

I decided to participate in the festivities this year, but fortunately, it was very quick and easy to do. Since I had already crafted all of Zipper’s D.I.Y. recipes in a previous year, he gave me another Bunny Day wand right off the bat.

I also had to give Zipper one egg of each type. I already had most of them in my pockets already, and I grabbed the others out of storage. So I handed them to Zipper, and he gave me a Bunny Day basket. And…that was it! Sure, you can give him more eggs for more baskets if you want, but there’s not much point. (It only sells for 1,200 bells anyway.)

Zipper: Alright, kid, enjoy the rest of your Bunny Day!

So after just a few minutes, I was free to enjoy the rest of my Bunny Day elsewhere…so I did. I went and played the City Folk version of the event, which was much more fun (and profitable). 😛

The next time I played, Pascal popped up out of the ocean for a scallop, and he told me that ice was just water that’s lost its spirit of adventure.

Pascal: Ice is just water that's lost its spirit of adventure, maaan.

I’m just wondering how many of Pascal’s quotes are in this game, maaan.

It looks like I’ve posted about 75 unique Pascal quotes to this blog already, and I only see duplicates occasionally. I know most of the other dialogue in this game repeats like crazy (ahem, when you’ve played thousands of hours), but Nintendo has done a great job loading up Pascal with plenty of content.

Now that April is here, many hardwood trees (including some money trees) have pink leaves for cherry blossom season. It’s always a pretty time of year. 🙂

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week or so:

  • Last Thursday, Gulliver sent me a tubeteika.
  • Last Saturday, K.K. performed K.K. Rockabilly for me, June, Ketchup, Ankha, and Agent S.
  • On Sunday, I bought 2,200 turnips for 108 bells apiece. On Wednesday, I sold them for 172 bells each. I’m only about 233k from meeting my goal!
  • On Tuesday, Wisp gave me a futuristic meal.
  • C.J. was in town today, but I only had a couple of fish from storage to sell him,

Hiatus

I’ve mentioned before that my Switch has had problems with overheating, and shutting itself off if I don’t have an actual fan blowing onto it when I play. But today, even with a fan on it, it started making some intermittent buzzing sounds that were a bit concerning. I’ve decided that I finally need to get my system repaired. Unfortunately, I’ll be without it for perhaps a few weeks. So this blog will be on hiatus until then. My other Animal Crossing blogs will continue as usual.

June’s House, Louie’s Party

June has lived in Forest for a week now, and I still can’t get over how adorable she is. 😆

June: Sorry for not getting up... I'm really comfortable here.

I got to see the inside of her house last Thursday, and it’s really pretty. It has a beach theme and shell furniture. For a moment, June appeared to be looking up at her shell arch. Maybe she was afraid I’d bump into it and knock it down. 😆

I recently updated my dream, so you can all meet June if you’d like. Just go to dream address 6717-1633-3682. Enjoy your visit! 🙂

On Sunday, Zipper’s eggs started appearing all over town. They’re in the ground, in the sky, in trees, in rocks, and in the water. Villagers give them to you too! You can’t escape them, and we’re stuck with them for a whole week. But the worst part is that I had to see Zipper himself!

Zipper: Why, hippity skippity, hoppity ho! Now that you found me...

He basically just reminded me to save up eggs for Bunny Day next Sunday. He also told me to watch out for Bunny Day D.I.Y. recipes in the meantime, but I’ve already obtained them all before.

Today is Louie’s birthday, and I gave him a Mama panda that I bought at the shop. He seemed to really like it, I think.

Louie, at his birthday party: Oh! Oh, wow. Did you really... A Mama panda!

June was also at Louie’s birthday party, wearing a cute dress. They both seemed to be having a good time. 🙂

June, at Louie's birthday party: I'm so glad you could make it here to celebrate with us!

Note: I’ve recently updated most of the photos on my town page, and of course I’ve added Midge’s exit and June’s arrival to the town history as well.

Yesterday, I posted my annual slideshow of my best screenshots of the past year. It’s the 4th Year in Pictures:

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week or so:

  • Wisp gave me a candle chandelier last Tuesday, and a schefflera on Sunday.
  • Last Wednesday, I sold my turnips at a price of 314 bells apiece (700k total). It was like a turnip pi(e) surprise, a bit late. 😉 I’m now just 400k from my turnip goal!
  • Gullivarrr sent me another pirate bandanna.
  • K.K. Slider performed Café K.K. for me and Ketchup on Saturday night.
  • Yesterday, I grabbed seven fish from storage and sold them to C.J. for 67,500 bells.
  • Today, I sold nine bugs to Flick for 44,250 bells.

Successful Villager Hunt

Yesterday, Daisy Mae was in town, and she was selling turnips for 92 bells apiece. I bought 2,200 of them.

But more importantly, I was on a mission. I had ten Nook Miles Tickets and one goal: To find a new villager to replace Midge. So I went to one mystery island after another, seeking that perfect animal to add to Forest. If you want to see how it all played out, including who I almost took, check out my new video before reading the rest of this entry:

Rio was talking about my hair, and she said she’d like to try a new hairdo to keep up with my style. Imagine Rio with a mohawk. 😆

Rio: You know, I need to keep up with your style... Maybe I'll try a new hairdo!

I found a scallop while diving, and Pascal showed up to talk about attacking your food with utensils.

Pascal: If you don't have enough utensils to attack all the food on your plate, you need reinforkments, maaan.
That’s even worse than my puns. 😛

Today, I found my new villager’s house. It looks nice!

The exterior of June's new house.

Of course, I went inside to greet the new animal. Welcome to Forest, June! I’m thrilled to have you here! 🙂

June: I've relocated, but as you can see, I've got a lot of unpacking to do...

She’s one of the cutest villagers in the entire series, and her wallpaper and carpeting (not to mention her outfit) reflect her status as an original islander on GameCube. 🏝️

It was raining in town tonight, and I caught a nice coelacanth!

Jeff, holding a coelacanth: Blast from the past!

A few minutes later, I also caught a blue marlin and an oarfish! I’ll save them all for C.J., but that’s a nice little haul!

That’s all I have for now, but I’ll be looking forward to getting to know June in the coming days and weeks. 🙂 See you all next time!
