Singing Indoors

On Wednesday, Savannah sneezed in my face!

Savannah, about to sneeze: Oh! Thanks so--Ah-CHOO!--much.

I gave her some medicine for her cold, and she thanked me with a coverall coat.

Tucker the elephant was camping over at the campsite. He seems pretty cool, but I did not invite him to move in.

Tucker, at the campsite: Hi there! Are you from this island? I'm here camping.

On Thursday, I caught an emperor butterfly that was flying right behind Louie. It was almost on his back! And I thought it looked funny how Louie was right there where you’d expect to see me holding the bug.

I caught an emperor butt

Yesterday, I visited Savannah and I was surprised to see her singing in her house! Normally they just sing outdoors, so this caught me by surprise.

Savannah sings inside her house.

My former villager Tia was in town as a tourist today, and she was looking for a place to stay for the night. I didn’t feel like designing a VIP room though, so I put her in a standard room. She ended up the ice room; I hope she doesn’t get cold! But she does have some thick skin, so she should be okay.

Tia: Lovely rooms, kind staff... This hotel is so perfect.

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and I asked him for a random song. He performed “K.K. Samba” for me, Bones, and Merengue.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • I helped out Wisp twice this week. He gave me some horizontal split curtains on Sunday and some olive Moroccan flooring on Monday.
  • On Wednesday, I sold 18 bugs to Flick for 128k.
  • I helped Gulliver on Thursday, and he sent me a Sphinx in the mail.

Earlier this week, I posted my latest New Horizons Moments video. Here it is:

Sports Rewards

Last Sunday, I attended the final fireworks festival of the year. Isabelle gave me a bulb bopper, and I had the bright idea to put it on. 💡 I sat on the bench for a few moments and enjoyed the fireworks with some of my villagers.

Enjoying the fireworks with Peanut, Merengue, Savannah, Isabelle, and Jolly Redd.

On Monday, Willow the yellow sheep was camping at the campsite. She’s a cutie, and I already have her in my City Folk town. I didn’t invite her to move in here, but it was sure nice to see her in HD! 😆

Willow: I absolutely love this island, don't you? The air! The trees! The water! It's all so splendid.

On Tuesday, Peanut wanted to trade for my foosball table. But she didn’t want to tell me what she’d give me for it. I agreed to the blind trade, and she ended up giving me a soccer-uniform top.

Peanut: Your foosball table, my...soccer-uniform top! It's trade time!

Trading furniture for a shirt isn’t the best deal, but it is interesting that both items were soccer related! âš½

Tonight, I found a lost item (a book) on the ground and I returned it to its owner, June. She thanked me and gave me a rugby uniform. What am I going to do with all these sports uniforms? 😛

June: My lost journal! You found it!

At the plaza, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Blues” for me, Kid Cat, and June.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Monday, I sold 22 fish to C.J. for 307,500 bells.
  • Merengue was sick with a cold on Tuesday. I gave her some medicine and she thanked me with a flashy cardigan.
  • I recovered Wisp’s spirits for him on Thursday, and he gave me a rocket lamp.
  • I also helped out Gullivarrr, and he sent me a pirate beard yesterday.

The next New Horizons Moments video is coming very soon, so keep an eye out!

Macaroons for a Goat?

Last Sunday night, I again attended the fireworks festival. Bones wanted to watch the fireworks with me. Aww, he’s so cute! Of course I will, Bones!

Bones: Tonight's fireworks show just started. Wanna watch it together?

When I spoke with Isabelle, she gave me another star bopper…the same one as the week before! You know, the same one I was still wearing. 😛 Thanks anyway, Isabelle.

Yesterday, Static was telling me about some macaroons he got from his neighbor. Hmm, I wonder which neighbor it was (because they didn’t give me any)! 😛

Static: Anyway, I got these macaroons from my neighbor the other day.

Static told me he was going to feed the macaroons to a goat (until he tried them himself). But I can’t get over the goat thing. Why on earth would he give them a goat? Why not give some to me? And which goat would it be, anyway? Forest doesn’t have any goats!

Static: I was gonna feed 'em to a goat or somethin', but I took a tiny bite... and the darn things are delicious!

It was a weird conversation. So I walked out, and guess what I saw right by Static’s house? A goat! It was Nan, who was in town as a tourist.

Nan: It's a short stay, but I intend to make the most of it, kid!
…by eating my macaroons!

With summer on its way out, I spent nearly half an hour catching bugs tonight.

I caught a horned elephant! I think it's too small to ride...

I caught several rare ones, more semi-common ones, and three sharks as well.

Here are a few other quick notes from this week:

  • On Monday night, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Sonata” for me, Bones, Agent S, Peanut, and Merengue. I enjoyed the show. 🙂
  • On Tuesday, I sold 17 bugs to Flick for 148,500 bells. Peak bug season only has a few days left, and I’m going to miss it.
  • Tonight, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Lament” for me. Even though Peanut, Louie, and June were seated before I spoke with K.K., they all got up and left me alone.
