I got Benedict’s goodbye letter in the mail today. He sent me his picture attached to the letter, even though I already had two of them. But that was nice of him. Benedict is an animal I was neutral towards at first, but he grew on me. He’s now my second favorite chicken in the game behind Egbert.
I also had mail from Crazy Redd, who sent me the perfect painting I bought from him yesterday. It turned out to be real! It’s titled Apples and Oranges, and it’s beyond compare.
Luna told me that Cassidy from Outset was my most recent dream visitor. When I returned to town, I saw Tammy sitting on my yellow bench. That bench was built in July, and this is the first time an animal has sat on it!
Saharah was in town, and I paid her to redecorate my house with new wallpaper and carpet. She installed a summit wall and a western desert.
Rolf asked me for some furniture that could sit on something else, to replace his pill bug. I wasn’t sure what to give him, so I caught a fish for him. He took it and rewarded me with…the pill bug.
Big Top asked me for a red snapper. So of course I had to go fishing until I could find one. It took longer than I hoped, but I eventually got one for him. I took it to him and he rewarded me with a lovely bed. I seriously wanted to hurt him.
After 8:00, I went up to Club LOL to watch K.K. perform. To my surprise, Fuchsia was in there! She moved out of Forest on the 4th of July, but I don’t think I’ve seen her on Main Street until now. Perhaps Benedict’s move allowed her to start appearing on Main Street. But being the clueless deer she is, she asked if I was there shopping. Shopping? In Club LOL?
Anyway, I let K.K. pick a random song, and he played K.K. Tango for me.
But when I took it home after the show, I found that I already had K.K. Tango in my stereo. I’m guessing this means I now have all of the regular songs. In other words, the songs that aren’t request-only.
That wrapped up my night, but Beth has submitted QR codes for three new dresses: a kitten dress (with tail), a denim dungaree dress, and Ai’s dress from the Animal Crossing movie. If you’re interested, check them out on the QR Codes page.
When I talked to Big Top, he asked me to return an item to Rolf. Sure, no problem. I found Rolf in front of my metal bench, but he pinged me and asked me for an orange. I gave him a perfect orange and he loved it.
He rewarded me with a tiki torch. I then talked to him again and gave him the delivery from Big Top. He gave me his picture! Again!
I now have four Rolf’s pics! (And still none of Big Top).
Thanks to yesterday’s tip from PRT, I found out I could customize the stewpot I got from the igloo. I could change the menu to curry, consumme’, or borscht. I decided to give the curry a try.
It takes Cyrus half an hour to do the
I spotted Crazy Redd’s tent, and I took a chance on this perfect painting.
A bit later on, the curry was complete, so I picked up my stewpot.
After that, I found today’s snowballs and rolled up a flawed snowboy. I also went up to the Dream Suite, where I learned that Maria from Lakewood was my most recent dream visitor.
And in his house, he showed me the snow machine he got from scoring a bingo. It was pretty cool the way it spits out snow. Most of the ski set doesn’t interest me much, but this snow machine sure does. I can’t wait to get one for myself.
I then invited him to my town so he could get #8 punched off his bingo card from my snowman. When he saw Redd’s tent, he told me to stand behind it and press up (so that the tent disappears). He then went into the tent, and it looked as if he disappeared. Then when he came back out, his silhouette appeared out of nowhere.
It was late for him, so I ended the party. But as soon as I came out of the train station, Phineas was there with a new badge for me! He gave me the Great Host badge, for having 200 Wi-Fi visitors. Tom was #200 apparently, although that’s only because it didn’t count Wendy’s visit the other day for some reason.
Skye asked me to collect signatures to ban bubble gum on benches. But nobody on my friend roster had an open gate except for Tiffiny, and I was unable to connect to her town today.
She helped me track down six of her villagers to sign the petition. Erik the reindeer provided the sixth and final signature I needed.
I headed back to the train station after posing for this picture.
Thanks again, Saarah! Once I got back to Forest, I took a look at the completed petition. T-Bone, Sterling, Poppy, Flo, Violet, and Erik were the animals who supported the cause.
I took the petition back to Skye and she rewarded me with an Arc de Triomphe. It’s not her picture, but it’s not a bad reward.
It used to be a Gulliver item, at least on GameCube.
On the friend exchange page, I saw someone (Brittany/Leah) looking for a new villager. I asked if she wanted Benedict, and she said yes. So I let her come over and she adopted him. I like Benedict, so it’s good to see him find a new home.
Back in the GameCube game, the snow bunny used to be an igloo item. But speaking of igloos, Tangy was in one today. I played one of her games, where she would list five items one at a time and I had to buy one of them. The fourth item was a stewpot, so I bought it, despite the hefty price tag.
I took it to my house to take a look at it. Delicious!
Gulliver was down on the beach, talking about a country that had lots of motorcycles and condensed milk. I had no idea, so I took a wild guess and I was wrong.
After I watered my flowers, I did a shopping run. Alex from “oak town” was my most recent dream visitor, and I bought a telescope at T&T Emporium. I had taken three gold nuggets to Cyrus, and he turned them into a golden closet. It was a duplicate, as usual. But honestly, I’m not sure what piece of the golden set I still need! So I need to look into that sometime soon.
I went to visit Big Top, and he was talking about how his sea bass was his pal. Hmmph. I wonder if he gave the sea bass his picture.
Anyway, I kept talking to Big Top over and over until he wouldn’t talk any more. Next week will mark 8 months since he moved into town, and I’m still trying for his picture.
I agreed to help him out, since pill bugs are pretty common. I only had to bang three rocks to get one. Anyway, I just want to say that there’s no Friday Night Forest this week. But tomorrow is Benedict’s last day in town, and there will still be a blog entry, so check back for that.
