This morning, I tracked down Joan to buy some turnips. She was selling them for 92 bells apiece, so I bought 1,200 of them.
I met up with Molly later on, and she offered to trade robo furniture with me. Sure, why not?
When I worked at the cafe, I saw a new animal come in for coffee: Cherry the dog. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her before, even in pictures online!
Afterwards, I built a new snowman and he gave me a new number. I ended up with a triple ding; that means I’m one number away from a bingo in three separate ways. It’s even more rare than an actual bingo, so my bingo card is starting to resemble swiss cheese.
I bumped into Kidd, and–just like this past Friday–he offered me a painting for exactly 7,056 bells. But this time, it was a basic painting instead of a nice painting. I still don’t have a basic painting in the museum, so it was an easy decision to buy this one too.
Right behind Kidd was Tammy, who was fishing. I spoke with her and she talked about how funny it would be if a fish cast a line up on land, with a piece of pizza on it. That would be hard to resist.
I found a lost item on the ground, so I began asking my villagers if it belonged to them. I eventually found the item’s owner when I went in Tia’s house (which is looking really nice, by the way). She rewarded me with a red tie-dye tee.
I then headed up to the museum. First, I put my fishing trophy from yesterday in my trophy room.
And then I donated the basic painting; it was a real painting once again! Kidd rocks!
“The Blue Boy.” He later grew up to found the Blue Man Group.
Big Top invited me over to his house, and I had to pick a time. I really hate these planned visits, but I’m desperate for Big Top’s picture, so I don’t want to refuse him. I met him at 3:30, and he offered to sell me an item from his house. So I asked about the coelacanth sitting by the window.
He didn’t want to sell it because it’s like a brother to him. Okay, fine, fair enough. But then he told me I should catch my own!
Excuse me? I am the one who caught that coelacanth in the first place, buddy!
But interestingly, Big Top said the same thing about his stringfish and even his sea bass!
He must have a lot of brothers.
When I went up to the second floor of the Emporium, I briefly mistook Harry and Timmy for a father and son.
After I was done shopping, I decided to go around town taking some pictures.
Since it was a nice, mostly sunny day, I thought it would be a good time to take a bunch of wintertime pictures for my town page. So check that out if you’d like to see how Forest is looking these days.
Once I got down to the “void,” I was able to walk under the ocean. Tom was swimming there, and I could see his bubbles and ripples.
He told me to come up on the sand, and he dug holes for me to fall in. After being “pitfall’d” basically, I was then up on solid land again. To him, I appeared out of nowhere as coming up through the hole. He said he got to witness my birth, much like
After that, he ended the party and I returned to Forest. I got a letter from Gulliver in Denmark; he sent me this mermaid statue.
When I spoke with Big Top, he told me about his bedtime routine. It had me rolling.
The fishing tournament was held today, so Chip was over at the event plaza asking for horse mackerels. I gave him my 18.75 inch fish and he was impressed.
He rewarded me with this octopus chair.
After 6:00, I returned to the event plaza and Chip
I won the tournament, so I got this gold fish trophy. Tia got second place and Aurora got third.
Afterwards, my villagers congratulated me on the win.
And later on, I went up to Club LOL to see K.K. perform. I recently heard a new (secret) song in a StreetPass house called K.K. Stroll, so I requested it tonight.
When I returned from Main Street, some animals were mentioning Phineas. So I went looking around for him. Once I found him, he gave me the K.K. Slider Fanboy badge.

As if I’d ever be able to forget that face. I should be so lucky.
My pockets kept filling up, so I went to unload my money bags (from my peaches yesterday) at the post office bank. My account topped six million bells for the first time.
The gamble paid off, because the painting was real! I quickly donated it.
Main Street got a bit uglier today, as Katt has now joined the circus of Forest rejects who populate the shopping district.
And in the cafe, Tia came in and told me she’d have her usual order. This is the first time you’ve been in here! Besides, I thought you’d be more of a tea drinker…
It was a clear day in town, but…it’s still January. So I was a bit surprised when Skye said she wanted to go sunbathing.
I made a snowboy, and again I failed at it. The snowboys seem to be the hardest of the snowpeople to make correctly. At least for me.
I checked out a StreetPass house at the Happy Homes Academy and it was quite impressive, especially the church room. I later visited the dream town and loved it. It will likely be a future
Patty needed a wet suit, so she was excited to see that the island shop had two of them available.
We did several hide-and-seek tours, as well as some bug-catching and fishing tours.
After about six tours total, Patty bought herself a wet suit and we returned to Forest. Patty went to meet Tia and then she left for the night.
We walked over to the bridge, and then did the glitch again to get down onto the water.
We then did it one more time to get into the abyss. Nothingness. It’s like being inside Tabby’s head.
Hazael got separated from Saarah and me somewhere along the way. But I made my way across the ocean and then up onto the cliffs at the northern part of town.
By midnight or so, I was all glitched out and I called it a night. Have a great weekend, everyone!
