Last night, Hazael from Shiro stopped over to sell some turnips while I had the good sale price.
Then today, Tammy sent me a very urgent letter. It’s a matter of L and D!
And today was Tabby’s last day in town! π How sad! π π π π π She was telling me to try to enjoy life in Forest without her! Ha! π
I had to do a little happy dance. βͺ Ding dong, the witch is dead. βͺ
I tried building a snowboy, but I didn’t make him right. So he won’t be sending me any snowman furniture.
Tom invited me over to his town to get his bingo numbers for the day, so I headed off to Tomville. While I was there, Tom told me that Re-Tail’s item of the day was perfect peaches!
I happened to have 7 bunches of perfect peaches (63 peaches total) in storage! So I got them out of the lockers at the train station and sold them all for 378,000 bells!
Between the turnips yesterday and the perfect peaches today, I’ve had quite a lucrative week!
When I returned to Forest, Luna told me that Michael from Miami was my most recent dream visitor.
And even though I don’t like Tabby, I was trying to be nice and find her a new home. But I was unable to connect to Abigail after about 45 minutes of fiddling with router settings. The next person on my list already got a different Tabby yesterday. I then posted on the friend exchange page, but I was unable to connect to the first person who wanted her. Someone else showed interest initially, but then stopped responding. Oh well, maybe some “lucky” StreetPass victim will get her!
Then today, I went to the island again and I caught my first birdwing butterfly!
I compared my New Leaf bug encyclopedia to my one in City Folk, and it seems the other bug I need is a pondskater. But since the island has no ponds, I’ll have to wait until summer to complete my bug collection. But for now, I donated the birdwing to the museum and then went to Re-Tail to check my turnip prices. I was quite surprised to see this:
504 bells for turnips! Yessss! I sold all 1,000 of my turnips and scored half a million bells! Sweet!
Back outside, I saw Aurora on my metal bench and I stopped to take a quick break.
Soon after that, I saw Phineas! He gave me the Amateur Turnip Trader badge!
So here is a current look at my badges:
Everything seemed to be going great today. But my good luck wasn’t over yet. I went up to my snowman and rolled his eyes. The result was #19, which gave me a bingo!
As a reward, he gave me this slalom gate.
And if that wasn’t enough, Teddy suggested a new public works project! It’s just for an instrument shelter, though.
I have no plans of putting it in my town, but I’m still happy to have it added to my list of available projects.
Of course, I had a new villager in town today too. I went in to meet Tia the elephant.
If she wasn’t so heavy, I’d be tempted to tip her over and pour her out. She came from Theoria, and I have no idea where that is. I’m guessing it must be from a StreetPass. At least she’s better than my last StreetPass villager (Tammy).
This evening, Molly asked me for some furniture to replace her TV. I tried giving her different things, but apparently it needed to be furniture that can be placed on something else. I didn’t have anything that fit that description, so I caught a fish for her. She liked it enough to give me her picture again. Big Top, take note of this please.
And last but not least, one other good thing is knowing that tomorrow will be Tabby’s last day in town! She came into the cafe for coffee today, and I purposely made her coffee wrong. She said “BLECHHH!,” but I accidentally pressed the A button too fast and didn’t take a picture in time. But I made sure her last cup of coffee was a bad one.
For the first time since October, a new animal is moving in! Since Tabby isn’t gone yet, I’ll be back up to ten villagers. But the new villager will be Tia the elephant, whose head looks like a tea pot. Interestingly, she’s moving in near Big Top’s house. Is there going to be some steamy elephant romance brewing? Or will Big Top just get himself into hot water? We’ll see!
At Re-Tail, Reese informed me that the gallant statue I got from Crazy Redd was a fake.
I built a new bingo snowman today, and he rolled a 32. I marked it off my bingo card, and I’m now one number away from a bingo. I tried to let Tom in my town to get #32 for himself, but after it didn’t work, he had to go before I could try making any changes to my router settings. I usually have to try a few different settings before it will let him in, and it’s not the same settings each time.
At the Dream Suite, Luna informed me that Jennifer from Winnifer was my most recent dream visitor. Interesting town name, Jennifer…
Big Top asked me for some furniture, but I didn’t have any customized furniture to give him today. So I just bought a wet-road sign from the Emporium and gave him that. Surprisingly, he seemed to enjoy it. But not enough to give me his picture, of course.
That basically wrapped up my day in Forest. I’ll be back with another update tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!
