Late last night, after I delivered the mermaid set to Cloudie (sapphirecrossing), Ash came over to drop off Katie. Ash had an odd-looking thing in her hair; she said it’s sold at the store in preparation of Festivale (her town date is set a couple weeks ahead of the actual date).
This was Ash’s first time in my town, so she explored a little bit. At one point, she typed “Aurora!” So I looked up at the sky and I was thinking “Uhh, no there isn’t.” And then I realized she had just seen my penguin villager Aurora, who she apparently likes a lot.
She told me that she’s thinking about customizing her chess set in gold. I didn’t even realize that was possible, but it would look awesome. Unfortunately, you can’t customize them with silver. Gold vs. silver sure would have been cool. We made a quick trip out to the island, where we tied on a giant dragonfly tour.
Then today, I went looking for Joan. She was selling turnips for 93 bells each, so I bought my usual quantity of 1,200.
There was an igloo in town, and when I went inside, the camper looked like Teddy from behind! But Teddy already lives in Forest, so I was confused for a second. But then he turned around and I saw that one-of-a-kind green unibrow. “Hello, Nate.”
When I checked my mail, I saw a letter from the snowboy; he sent me this snowman head.
While I’m certainly glad to have it, it reveals that I’m not as close to finishing the snowboy collection as I thought. I was apparently looking at a list of snowman furniture previously, so I neglected to notice that the snowman head and a snowman itself are also items you receive from snowboy. So as of this moment, I still need the snowman clock, snowman vanity, and the snowman.
Big Top was being a big gossip today, as he was talking about Teddy’s feet for some reason.
But the more he talked, the more he sounded like a villain, not a superhero.
I built a perfect snowboy–I seem to be back on a roll now. Jessica asked to come over to get a couple of bamboo shoots, and I met her in the Emporium.
Gracie had three more pieces of gorgeous furniture on sale today, so I bought them all. I paid 200k for the gorgeous desk, 64k for the gorgeous stool, and a whopping 280k for the gorgeous wall clock! Yikes! My bank account balance dropped below eight million bells, and it’s going to drop further before I complete this set.
Jessica explored my house and then we went back outside. She made the mistake of forgetting her toy hammer at home. But I had mine, and I put it to good use!
We went out to the island for two quick tours and then I ended the party. Later on, I decided to recreate a poster I saw in the police station of the GameCube version of Animal Crossing. Here’s a look at it, and you can scan the code here or on the QR Codes page.
That’s all for today, but I’ll see you all next time!
I built another snowboy, and he was perfect too. So I’ll be getting my next-to-last piece of snowman furniture tomorrow. After that, I went to meet my new neighbor, Nan the goat.
She moved in from Waldovia, which is the town of someone I’ve StreetPassed. Due to the unbalanced nature of the StreetPass relay system, it’s from a person I’ve StreetPassed 12 times…but she has apparently only received my Mii twice (because it still asks me to rate her each time).
Rolf asked me for a new greeting. He likes to think he’s tough, but he’s really a softie inside.
Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Devonna from Hillvile was my most recent dream visitor. In Club LOL, I asked K.K. for a random song and he played some salsa for me. But it just made me hungry.
At GracieGrace, the sale season has begun! I decided I’ll take advantage of the reduced prices to buy the gorgeous furniture set. The only gorgeous item she had today was the sofa, which I bought for 96,000 bells.
After that, I wrapped up my night in Forest. But there is another matter of business for today…the giveaway for the mermaid set!
I checked my mail, and I had three letters waiting for me. One was from Isabelle, who sent me a chocolate cake. Molly sent me a valentine too, with a chocolate heart attached. And I also got a letter from Mom, who said she tried to make homemade chocolate, but it didn’t turn out. So she sent me a cacao tree instead. Here are my three Valentine’s Day gifts.
It was snowing outside, so that provided some relief from having to water my flowers. And I noticed a new house plot! Already?? Nan the goat is moving in tomorrow. Kidd may like her, but I’m not sure if I will.
Big Top was enjoying the snow…in more ways than one. He was eating the snowflakes! Hopefully he knows not to eat any yellow snow he may find on the ground.
I made a snowboy out of the snow (not the yellow snow) and I made a good one today! So I’ll be getting a new snowman furniture item in the mail tomorrow.
If I’m not mistaken, I’ll only need two more items after the one I get tomorrow. Until then, I’ve decided to make nothing but snowboys. Unless I make a snowman or snowmam by accident, of course.
At the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Hana from Somewher was my most recent dream visitor. And in Tia’s house, Tia offered me a tea set in a trade! Are…those her kids?
And Tia was also telling me a story about being without napkins. But I kind of got the impression she was talking about toilet paper.
I opened my gate at 10:00, but nobody came. So I closed up by 10:30. I finished up my night with a nice cup of
Thanks to Brewster for the hot chocolate and thanks to you all for reading. By the way, if you haven’t read my
