Sci-Fi Giveaway

Tia came up to me today and told me I could use a fresh tee! How rude!

Tia: I hope this isn't presumptuous, but I think you could use a fresh tee.But she was right; I had been wearing that shirt for a while. And I haven’t washed it in weeks. So I tried on the fresh tee and I decided to keep it on.

Putting on my fresh tee.I decided to take advantage of the daylight and take some pictures around town.

Forest's southwest park. You can see the other pictures on my newly-updated town page.

Kim came over to pick up some items I had for her, and she also needed to collect signatures for a petition. When I went up to the Able Sisters, I saw a deep-blue tee on sale.

Mabel: The sporty vibe of the deep-blue tee is nice, right? It’s basically a blue version of the fresh tee. And if Tia hadn’t just given me a new shirt to wear, I probably would have bought it. But I did buy a beak for some reason, and I was wearing it when I caught up with Kim. I hope she wasn’t trying to sign Big Top up for the circus!

Kim chats with Big Top.Kim and I sat on my metal bench for a moment.

Kim and me sitting on the bench.Despite my shirt being nice and fresh, I must have still been a little smelly, because she stood up pretty quickly. We also blew our tweeters at each other.

Blowing tweeters. After Kim stopped at Re-Tail, she had to go, so I ended the session. I then went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town. Luna told me that Juliette from Lavander was my most recent dream visitor.

I then headed over to the museum to arrange my sci-fi furniture for a picture. That’s right, the giveaway starts tonight!

Tulip Topiary

Rolf sent me a letter in the mail, telling me he’s feeling better now. He also sent me a camel shirt attached the letter. But Hump Day isn’t until tomorrow…

I decided to change up my paths a bit today. I experimented with some different colors for the bricks, and I went with this black/blue look for now:

My blue/black brick path.A tent was set up at the campsite today, and Naomi was inside. She looked slightly…evil.

Naomi: I'm just in town camping for a bit. I needed a little break from my hometown.I headed over to my park to check out the tulip topiary that just got put in. I think it looks nice, although it would look better if I organized the flowers around it. They’re all just random flowers in this part of town for now.

My tulip topiary at my park.I then talked to Isabelle to begin the completion ceremony. Almost everyone came over to the left side; I think Nan must’ve been a bit gassy today.

Isabelle: Welcome to the grand completion ceremony for Forest's vital tulip topiary project! In case anyone is wondering, I am not planning on putting in a square topiary.

At the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Joe from the town of “?” was my most recent dream visitor.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Joe from ? enjoyed your dream. And while I was looking through my catalog, I had to laugh when I saw the Taurus bathtub (Japanese DLC). This is one of the items that Leo let me catalog yesterday.

Taurus bathtub: 4,800 bells. And up at the Happy Homes Showcase, I noticed Ian was there once again. He gave me another ice cream cone; this time it’s vanilla ice cream.

Ian and ice cream.

Expanding the Southwest Park

Lately I’ve been trying to clean up my town a bit. I previously had the candy all over the plaza from Bunny Day, and I had a bunch of items by my train station too. I still have leftover ores by Re-Tail waiting to be sold. But I’m slowly but surely cleaning up. So the past couple days, I’ve been giving some away. Fabian won my ice cream cone; I made sure to warn him not to accidentally eat it in one bite.

Fabian: Lick lick.I then returned to Forest and started looking for a good place to put a tulip topiary. I ultimately decided it to put it near my southwest park, just behind my wind turbine and near my yellow bench. This will expand the park; I just need to play during the day sometime to get some pictures with better lighting! The nights are too dark in New Leaf!

The location of my tulip topiary.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Leia from Serene was my most recent dream visitor. I was unable to shop today, because the stores were already closed by the time I got to play. Maybe in another month or so I’ll be able to switch back to night owl hours; I’m looking forward to that.

I opened my gate so that Leo could come over to let me catalog some items. Thanks, Leo! We were also blowing our tweeters at each other.

Me and Leo blowing tweeters.I then went over to Cassie’s town to drop off a few items she won.

Visiting Cassie.I returned home and went to the post office to withdraw some money. I used the bells to pay off my tulip topiary. It will be done tomorrow!

Isabelle: We've met our collection goal for the tulip topiary project! It should be complete tomorrow!
