The Nutcracker

Gulliver sent me a nutcracker in the mail from Germany today. I didn’t have a need for it, so I passed it on to Forest’s resident squirrel, Agent S.

Dear Agent S, I decided to give this nutcracker to you, since you're a bit of a nutcracker yourself. -From JeffOutside of the Roost, Rolf was talking about how much he enjoyed the scent of the coffee.

Rolf: When you walk by here, you can smell the earthy scent of coffee floating through the air...Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that J.C. from Chokolat was my most recent dream visitor.

I took a trip out to the island and went on a dragonfly discovery tour. It was not an advanced tour, so I easily caught enough bugs to earn the gold Tortimer award and six medals.

Tortimer: I hope you enjoyed the Dragonfly-Discovery Tour! Tell your friends!Later on, I went in Drago’s house to say hello and I found him sleeping standing up. That reminds me of the GameCube version of Animal Crossing, in which villagers would fall asleep standing up outside! And they did it pretty often too, if you played late enough. But here, Drago just told me that he should get to bed “for real.”

Drago: I must have dozed off there.Sleep well, my dragon friend.

Touring Pawnee

Last night, I headed over to Wendy’s town Pawnee. I had some items for her, and I also sold some perfect peaches at her Re-Tail. She also gave me a mini-tour of her town; she’s been working on it a lot. The area around her scarecrow has been decorated with black and orange roses (and dead trees) for Halloween.

A Halloweeny Pawnee.Her house–or should I say zen castle–is looking good too.

Wendy's zen castle home. Her main room is also decorated for Halloween, complete with an artist and his painting that says “Get out!”

A Halloween themed room in Wendy's house.I’ve been ordering some western items for Wendy, and I got see what they’re for. Here’s a look at her western room, which is still a work in progress.

Wendy's western room.I also saw her ’60s room, which was cool overall, but a certain photo of a certain koala kind of ruined the whole thing for me.

I did not approve of Eugene's pic.I also got to visit my old friend Gala, who moved out of Forest earlier this month.

Gala: Long time no see! It must be fate that brought the two of us together like this.I saw an outhouse, so I went inside to use it. There was a dog in there that watched me, though. It was kind of creepy. At least he didn’t sniff my butt.

Booker in the classic police station.Wendy’s villager Queenie landed her house right on Wendy’s path. What a witch!

Queenie's house on Wendy's path.I went in to talk to her, and to my surprise, she knew me! I’m guessing she must have moved to Pawnee from Wendy’s other town Oakville.

Queenie: My name is Queenie, just in case you forgot. How funny to see you here in Pawnee!Soon after that, Wendy ended the session and I returned home. Then today, Big Top asked me to play with him.

Big Top: Will you play with me, Mr. J?He wanted to play hide-and-seek, and he gave me ten minutes to find him, Octavian, and Kidd. I quickly found Big Top behind a tree nearby. I found Kidd not far from town hall, also hiding behind a tree.

Kidd leaning. With about five minutes to spare, I found Octavian behind Sprinkle’s house (in front of the Roost). But as I crept up to take this photo, I accidentally killed a gold rose. Oops.

Octavian hiding behind a tree. But I won the game, and Big Top gave me a wooden box as my trophy. Yeah, that prize was worth it.

Big Top: Take my wooden box as your trophy. Two of my perfect peach trees have died, and since it’s Halloween season, I’ve decided to leave them dead for a while instead of replanting them right away.

Two dead trees.I had another camper at the campsite today (don’t hate me). But as soon as I saw him–it was Klaus–I had no interest. At all.

Jeff: NOPEGulliver was down on the beach, talking about Albert Einstein and sausage. He’ll be sending me a gift from Germany tomorrow.

Gulliver: But it's not all fun and sausages! Science runs RAMPANT through all of its history!I finished my day with a trip up to Main Street. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me Teagan from Illinois was my most recent dream visitor. Thank you to Teagan and everyone who has visited! See you next time.  🙂

Scorpio Lamp DLC

This morning, Molly told me she was moving out of town on October 31st. Losing Molly would make for a scary Halloween indeed! So I clipped her wings so she couldn’t fly away.

Molly: OK, the move is off!I then tracked down Joan, who was selling turnips for 101 bells each. I bought 3,400 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 101 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?I realized that I hadn’t picked up the new DLC item, even though it’s been available for several days already. So I went up to the post office and asked Pelly about it, and she handed me the Scorpio lamp. Don’t forget to pick yours up, if you haven’t already!

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new Scorpio lamp!I put it in my house, and it looks pretty cool! It’s purple and the tail lights up when it’s turned on. My only complaint is that you can’t place it on a table.

The Scorpio lamp.I had yet another camper at the campsite today, a bird-brain named Cranston. I did not ask him to move in.

Cranston: You're from this town, aren't you?I ran into Rolf, who was enjoying a sit on my metal bench. He asked me to join him…kind of.

Rolf: If you wanna sit, then sit!So I sat down for a moment with my favorite tiger.

Sitting on the bench with Rolf.I wrapped up my day with a final trip up to Main Street. I updated my dream town, and Luna told me that Koinu from Wakaiton was my most recent dream visitor.
