When I started up the game tonight, I saw that Resetti’s manhole was open once again.

I went down to check things out, and Resetti and Don were once again discussing the voice recognition system. Resetti warned me not to press the button and say “scramble” or even “crumble.” But of course, I gave it a try regardless. After a couple tries, it registered a “scramble” and Resetti took off! I don’t think he was happy about it. Too bad, so sad.

His…seat(?)…left flaming tire tracks (a la Back to the Future) as it screeched away.

Don confirmed the obvious: The test was successful.

I spoke with Big Top, and he told me he was excited for the New Year’s Eve countdown. But he said he wasn’t sure he could stay up until midnight.

Octavian said the new year was making him want a fresh start. He said he was going to move out of town on January 5th, but I quickly talked him out of that.

At the event plaza, Isabelle was standing out in the cold by the big countdown clock…that she apparently made herself!

She asked me to join in the festivities and she gave me some sparkling cider for the occasion.

Crazy Redd also had a stand set up. This year, he was selling party poppers, yellow New Year’s hats, and blue New Year’s hats…all for 300 bells each. I bought a few party poppers and a blue New Year’s hat, which I put on.

I built a new snowman, and his eyes rolled a number 38. That gave me a double ding. In other words, I’m one number away from a bingo in two different directions.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Mollie from Wildside was my most recent dream visitor.

Around 11:30, I changed into my tuxedo and opened my gate. I noticed that the outdoor animals were now wearing hats for the occasion.

Madisyn was online, and I told her my gate was open if she wanted to drop by to bring in 2015 in my time zone. She said she might come, but she never did. So I just celebrated with Isabelle and Kabuki at the plaza once midnight rolled around. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I also fired off my party poppers…when I wasn’t busy accidentally talking to Kabuki.

I also drank my sparkling cider.

Kabuki wished me a happy stinkin’ new year. Thanks…I think.

After that, I looked up to the sky to watch the fireworks for a few minutes.

This is going to be a very short blog entry. Not much was going on in Forest tonight, so I went up to the Dream Suite to visit a couple of dream towns that have been suggested to me. One of them was very unique and made me laugh a few times. I’ll be posting a Dream Suite Adventure of that town sometime in January, so keep an eye out.

 When I woke up and returned to my town, Sprinkle asked me for some small furniture. I didn’t have any on me, so I caught a crucian carp for her.

She thanked me and rewarded me with her stool. Uh, thanks.

Tomorrow night is New Year’s Eve, so I’ll be playing New Leaf and I’ll probably open my gate at some point before midnight. Perhaps around 11:30pm Eastern time, but I’m not 100% sure. But if you’re on my roster and see my gate open, feel free to drop by!

I visited Molly today, and she was sitting down as I spoke with her. That doesn’t happen very often! Usually animals will be standing up and walking around. Anyway, she was talking about her bug, wondering if it would come if she called it.

There was an igloo set up at the campsite, and my old friend Static was inside!

Static has lived in my GameCube town for many years, and I like him a lot. Even if he is a big grump some most of the time. And in the GameCube game, igloos (unlike tents) are filled by your own town residents. So it’s not unusual for me to see Static in an igloo. But as for New Leaf, my town is full and I couldn’t ask him to move in. Oh well, maybe another time.

I played a game with him, where I had to choose a card to determine the price he would pay for my regal chair. I chose the “club” card, and I won! He paid 2,708 bells for it.

Rolf was talking about something he saw on TV about nail art. He couldn’t figure out why anyone would do that to their nails claws.

I saw that Saharah was in town, so I hired her to redecorate my house. But before I went home, I made her follow me around. I saw two snowballs, so I stopped to make a snowmam as Saharah had no choice but to follow along.

Once we reached my house, Saharah installed a red tile and a library wall in my main room.

Big Top asked me for a horse mackerel, so I went down to the ocean to catch one. It didn’t take me very long, so I quickly took it to Forest’s resident elephant. He thanked me by giving me a bird feeder.

A bird feeder? Agent S just gave a birdbath yesterday. What’s going on? Do my villagers think I’m running a bed and breakfast for birds? Or are they just trying to ruffle my feathers?

I went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town, and while I was there, Luna told me Sadie from Shrews was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!
