Red Ogre Mask DLC

When I went to see Sprinkle today, I saw that Dizzy was also visiting her. I’m not sure what a penguin and elephant could have in common, but it’s nice to see Sprinkle actually has a friend, I guess.

Sprinkle: Welcome! Dizzy just got here too, tiger! There was an igloo at the campsite, and I found Bella the mouse inside. Unlike Wednesday, I didn’t mind having a full town today since I have no interest in inviting Bella to move in anyway.

Bella: Hi there! I'm so excited to experience one of Forest's famous winters! After updating my dream town, Luna told me that Jared from Kyoto was my most recent dream visitor.

Later on, I found the northern lights up in the sky.

The northern lights above the cedar trees in Forest. And I was able to pick up the Nintendo Zone DLC, the red ogre mask.

Trying on the red ogre mask.
The service here makes me red in the face!

Hint: If you’re unable to get to a Nintendo Zone location (and you’re in America), you might be able to get it by changing the SSID of your router to “attwifi” (without the quotes) and then talking to Pelly or Phyllis at the post office. But be sure to change your router settings back when you’re done! And it may not work for everyone, so don’t shoot the messenger if it doesn’t work for you. 😛

Wearing the ogre mask made me fit in with Main Street animals like Canberra and Tabby.

I’m one of you now!

When I returned to town, Big Top told me he was going to move out on February 11th.

Big Top: I wanna have adventures too, or at least ONE adventure. So I've decided to move someplace new!Of course I quickly changed his mind for him.

When I went over by Re-Tail, I found that Resetti’s manhole had opened up.

An open manhole marks the entrance to the Reset Center.Resetti wasn’t home though, and Don didn’t have much to say. I guess there’s not really much point in me coming down here any more since I have both of their pictures now.

Don: Be careful on your way out.I made a new bingo snowman, and he rolled a #23. My previous snowman rolled a #15. Neither number was much help, as I’m still dingless.

Snowman: The way to bingo must be traversed steadily, one step at a time. Before I ended my game for the night, I went to the Emporium to check my catalog. I found that the red ogre mask can not be ordered again, unfortunately.

Red ogre mask - Not for sale.Have a great weekend, everyone! 🙂

Returning Aurora’s Book

Dizzy approached me today and told me he couldn’t find his electric razor. Wait, what do you shave? Your trunk?

Dizzy: I can't find my electric razor anywhere.I then hired Saharah to get some new wallpaper and carpeting installed. As a result, I ended up with a rose wall and a music-room floor. I went straight to Re-Tail to sell them.

A rose wall and music-room floor.I noticed my snowmam was gone, but my pockets were filling up with snowflakes. As I was looking for today’s snowballs, I found a lost item hiding on the ground behind a tree.

I picked up a lost item!I found one of today’s snowballs near the plaza, and the other was over by town hall. Rolling them together, I made a new snowmam.

Snowmam: If you bring me 3 snowflakes, I shall give you a reward worthy of your efforts.I also found the owner of the lost item without too much trouble. The book belonged to Aurora, who thanked me for returning it and rewarded me with a dreamy tee.

Aurora: Oh! This is the book I lost! I thought it was gone for good!
Is it just me, or does Drago look headless in this picture?

Finally, a reminder that the snow melts on February 25th. That means you have less than three weeks to collect anything you need from the snowpeople! As for me, I’m just looking forward to seeing green grass again.

Reminder: The snow melts February 25.

Dreaming of Lillypad

There was an igloo set up at the campsite today, and I found Lucky the mummified dog inside!

Lucky: Hey there! I'm here in town camping! I picked Forest randomly off a map.I was quite disappointed, because my town is full, and I would’ve loved to have Lucky in town.

I made a new bingo snowman today, but his number didn’t help me out very much. My bingo card is still short of a ding.

Not much was in happening in town, so I went up to the Dream Suite. There, I took a dream visit to the town of Lillypad (dream address 6200-2296-1288), which is based on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Luna: Welcome to the world of dreams... Right now, you are having a dream of a sleepy town called Lillypad. The town features many sprites from that game on the ground around town, including bushes, fence posts, tree stumps, treasure chests, and more.

Zelda LTTP sprites of fence posts and bushes.A Zelda style treasure chest! There are even some Cuccos!

Some chickens (Cuccos) from Zelda: A Link to the Past.If you’re not familiar with the Zelda series, Cuccos are the chickens that just peacefully hang out in Kakariko Village. If you’re mean to them, a whole flock of them will come out of nowhere to attack you.

The town also has a Tingle face-cutout standee. Even though Tingle didn’t appear in A Link to the Past, it fits with the Zelda theme.

A faceboard of Tingle from the Zelda series. And the mayor, Cat, also has a Zelda themed room.

A Zelda themed room with Link and the Master Sword. However, the other rooms and houses don’t seem to be based on The Legend of Zelda. But the town is gorgeous all the same.

Illuminated arches in Lillypad. The fountain in Lillypad.Again, the dream address is 6200-2296-1288. Whether you’re a Zelda fan or not, I recommend giving Lillypad a visit. Thanks to Clayton for the suggestion, and to Cat, for making such a great town.

For another great Zelda dream town, I recommend Termina, which is based on Ocarina of Time (even though the name implies Majora’s Mask).
