Aurora told me she wanted to move out of town on October 28th…but I quickly told her no. Rolf and Big Top were standing nearby, so I hope they heard too. None of them are allowed to leave.

While going through old dream town suggestions, I visited Clara’s town Metroid. She asked me to visit her town in a comment from a year and a half ago. I finally got there today, and her character’s phrase was “OMG Thanks Jeff!” I guess she must have known I’d get there eventually. Better late than never, right?

Once I woke up from the dream, Luna told me that Katrina from Avandea was my most recent dream visitor.

I found Gulliver down on the beach, telling me a tall tale of how he fought off 50 pirates. Sure, buddy. He’s now on his way to India.

I also bumped into Dizzy on the beach. He asked me for some new furniture, so I gave him a pizza! Well technically, it’s a customized hot plate, but still it’s a pizza! He gave me a green wall in return. That’s not a fair trade. I want my pizza back!

Last night, I caught another scallop while diving in the ocean. Pascal popped up and gave me a helm in exchange for it. He also was talking about tacos–on Taco Tuesday, no less.

Today, Gracie came into the Roost for some coffee. Since I already got my first three customers’ orders perfect, I didn’t need to get hers right in order to get superb coffee beans. So I didn’t bother looking at my list and just gave her whatever. She was not happy, and she was talking down to me. Witch…I hope that coffee burns your throat. All the way down.

I was happily surprised to see Phineas in town! All the grinding is starting to pay off! He gave me the Letter Writer badge. I don’t agree with what it says about me loving to write letters, though. I hate it! Especially in New Leaf with this annoying on-screen keyboard.

I now have at least a bronze badge for every category. This is what my current badge collection looks like:

On Saturday, I was playing the game just after 4:00 in the morning. That’s unusual, even for a night owl like me! But I noticed something odd. Despite being the middle of the night, there seemed to be a spot where it was sunny! Look at the grass on the left side, and compare it to the grass on the right!

Last night, I spotted Velma sitting on the town’s metal bench. She invited me to sit with her.

If it’ll get her to suggest me some public works projects, I’ll try anything.

And then today, Sunday morning came and went without me buying any turnips (once again). I just haven’t been playing the game on Sunday mornings for several weeks.

I decided to try grinding for badges. So I did some fishing, I did some bug-catching, I checked items in the shops to see if I needed any for my catalog, and I even wrote eight letters to villagers. I also did some diving, and I caught a scallop that caught Pascal’s attention.

Pascal asked for the scallop, and I gave it to him. In return, he gave me a keg; he also gave me these words of wisdom:

My badge grinding for today wasn’t enough to summon Phineas, but at least I know I’m slowly making progress on many of those badges I still need.
