Today is the summer solstice–the longest day of the year. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the daylight lasts all day (and night) long!

More than anything else, the presence of fireflies really showcases how odd the night sun really is. The fireflies just seem so out of place.

I made a trip to Arrested, where Michael/Beth and I used the special standee to stick our faces through a flower and the sun.
Arrested resident RenΓ©e asked me why I was visiting another town in the middle of the night.

When I returned to Forest, Agent S told me how much she loved my eel. She must have seen the outline of it wriggling around in my pockets and thought “I want that!” She gave me 2,000 bells for it.
After picking up my ladder shades from Isabelle at the event plaza, I realized I didn’t mention where Julian moved in last time. He lives next to Hamlet in the southern part of town. This area was never very populated when Peck lived here. Coincidence? I think not.

Speaking of Julian, I had a medieval chat with him tonight.

Aurora told me she was going to move away on June 26th, but I quickly changed her mind for her.
Up at Able Sisters, I made a new Cavs pattern: It’s the CLE design from their “blackout” T-shirts.

My most recent dream visitor was Marie from Dragolin. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next time!
Over by town hall, Hamlet complimented me on my calves…as my Cavs flag was visible in the corner of the picture I took.
It’s Father’s Day, and I got a letter from Mom about the occasion. She also sent some red carnations with the letter.
I picked up some New Leaf StreetPass hits today…six of them, in fact. It’s quite rare for me to get this many at once!
Copper told me Phineas was in town, and that is always exciting news. I was wondering if I had finally earned the bug-catching or the fish-catching badge. Or maybe even both? But it wasn’t either of those. Instead, I earned the StreetPass Expert badge. Even though the word expert sounds like it must be a gold medal, it’s actually the silver one.
Apparently, that means I’ve had 300 New Leaf StreetPass tags, and I would need 700 more (a total of 1,000) for the gold one. Considering it’s taken me three years to reach 300, it’s quite likely that I will never receive the gold. But I’m okay with that.

I went to identify some fossils at the museum, and I asked them to join me. I offered them some villager pictures, and Mike said he would take Big Top’s pic. I couldn’t pick up the pic while everyone was over, but another disconnection made sure I didn’t have to wait long.
But of course, it didn’t last long. After one final disconnection, I gave up and left my gate closed for the night. Sorry to everyone who came, but it was frustrating with all of the disconnections. This is as bad as I’ve seen it. Hopefully next month will be better.
But then he talked about how cool it was! He said he’s going to train it, and it’ll be the world’s most athletic bug. Good luck with that, little guy. He rewarded me with a sleek lamp.
After that, I wrapped up my night.
