Sunday Night Fireworks

The second fireworks festival of the year started tonight at 7:00 p.m., and Isabelle was at the event plaza to hand out heart boppers. Just behind the plaza, I spotted a scorpion and I was able to snag it! Unlike the one from Thursday, I wasn’t forced to release this one.

I caught a scorpion! Not so fast now, are ya?!Hamlet seemed excited about the fireworks. He said the first fireworks of the night have the biggest impact…in his ear. šŸ˜‰

Hamlet: Wow! Haha! The first fireworks always have the biggest impact! In my ear!At 8:00, I opened my gate for Sunday Night Fireworks. Beth and Squishy came over, and we posed for pictures by the SNF sign I made earlier in the day.

Beth, Jeff, and Squishy stand by the SNF sign as fireworks go off in the sky.I dug some holes around my tree stump and we did some glitching by all standing in the same spot.

Jeff, Squishy, and Beth standing in the same spot as we use the tree stump glitch. We used emotions for a few minutes or so. When I was about done, I tried kicking in one of the holes on the ground. But instead of doing that, I actually picked up a gold rose behind us…a gold rose on the other side of the tree stump!

The gold rose behind the stump missing. We then went up to the frog room in my house. For some reason, I was thinking the froggy chair didn’t make fart sounds in New Leaf. But sure enough, when I saw down in it (or stood back up), it would sometimes make the fart sound. But the interesting thing is that it didn’t fart when Beth or Squishy did it. Is it because they’re ladies? Is it because I’m now wearing shorts instead of long pants? Any ideas?

Jeff: Y U NO FART?When we went back outside, I had a chat with Bob. He said that one of the fireworks looked like his favorite type of flower. His catchphrase of “in the sky” worked out quite well here.

Bob: One of the fireworks that just exploded looked like my favorite type of flower, in the sky. After using my megaphone to scream into the ears of Squishy and Beth, we watched fireworks from several different spots around town. The metal bench in my central park was a great spot.

Watching fireworks from my central park area.My new geyser was also a prime location, although the geyser’s eruptions were so short that it was hard to get perfect pictures while the geyser was squirting and the fireworks were exploding.

Watching fireworks as the geyser erupts. From sitting on the bench, it appeared that the geyser’s eruption reached the moon!

Water from the geyser appears to reach the moon, as fireworks go off in the sky.We also headed over to the event plaza, where we bought some cookies from Crazy Redd and redeemed the tickets inside for prizes. Unfortunately, most of the prizes I got were duds.

Redd's Cookie: Too bad! You got a dAnd of course, we just had to glitch into/onto Redd’s stand. There’s always Squishy in the banana stand!

Squishy celebrates a successful glitch into Redd's stand.I also glitched onto his stand. Even though other people saw me inside the stand, I saw myself on top.

Standing on top of Crazy Redd's stand. But when I would throw beans. I would temporarily show up inside the stand. And yet, I saw the beans come from up above. (Everyone else saw the beans stay inside the stand).

Tossing beans from Crazy Redd's stand.Things got a bit messy when Beth glitched into the stand. I think she threw up on me!

Beth appears to puke beans out at me.That wasn’t very nice, so I killed her! By saving the game. Here you can see her corpse on top of the stand.

A dead Beth on top of Crazy Redd's stand.Next, we went back to the geyser and took turns glitching onto it.

Water from the geyser rushes through my body as I find a prize slip inside a cookie.Beth stands on the geyser as it erupts. Fireworks explode in the background.I went to check on Daisy, and she is finally over her cold. She gave me an exotic wall shelf to thank me for the medicine I’ve been taking her the past few days.

Daisy: Thanks for your help the other day, dude!We were running around the area north of my town hall, and I dug a few holes. Due to some lag, Beth fell into one of the holes as if it was a pitfall!

Beth stuck in a hole.We did more running and digging, trying to duplicate it, but no such luck. There were a few close calls though, where Beth kinda glitched over to a different spot (but without falling in). She got revenge a few minutes later, when she pushed me into the river.

Jeff: I CAN'T SWIM!Shortly before 10:00, I ended the session for the night. Thanks for coming, Squishy and Beth! I had a good time. I have something special planned for Friday Night Forest next month. I’m bringing back something I did in ACCF…but with a new twist. And no, it’s not sumo. šŸ˜‰

Luna told me that my most recent dream visitor was Belen from Saturn. Thanks for stopping by!

Pashmina’s Penultimate PWP Proposal

Daisy is still sick, so I’ve been buying medicine for her each day. She should be getting over this illness pretty soon, I imagine.

Daisy flips upside-down as she takes her medicine.
I think the moon is warping the gravity in here.

Hamlet seemed to be in the Olympic spirit tonight. First, he wondered if it was okay to play in the town fountain. And then, he said he wanted to show me his crawl stroke, backstroke, and butterfly!

Hamlet: I wanna show you my awesome crawl stroke! And backstroke! And butterfly! They all look awesome.
Go for the gold!

Gulliver was down on the beach, talking about tom yum kung and elephants. He’s headed off to Thailand, so he’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: Also, in that country there are a lot of elephants who need special care and preservation! You know you’ve been fishing a lot when you start accumulating multiple pieces of garbage in your pockets. Here, I had four boots!

Four boots (garbage) in my pockets. While I haven’t earned that gold fishing badge yet, I have been making some money from selling all these fish. My bank account balance has now topped 78 million bells.

Your current balance is 78,250,000 bells.PWP Update

Pashmina surprised me with a new PWP (public works project) suggestion tonight! She told me to put in a windmill!

Pashmina: They totally had what was maybe the coolest windmill I have ever seen! This is what it looks like. It’s a bit pricey though, costing 372,000 bells to install. Even though I’m a fan of windmills in general, it’s hard to justify blowing that much money on one…especially since I already have a wind turbine in town.

Windmill PWP: 372,000 bells.I am glad that Pashmina is suggesting these projects, though. If I’m not mistaken, I only need one more of the uchi PWPs from her: the wisteria trellis. Once she suggests that, I’ll be able to let her move out of town. But then, I should probably get a snooty villager, since there are several snooty PWPs I still need.

Luna told me that Ramon from Old Oak was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow for Sunday Night Fireworks!

Hey Geyser

Last night, I decided it was time to finally pick out a location for my geyser PWP (public works project). After an initial walk around town, I thought it would look best if it was visible from the yellow bench in my southwest park.

Beth came over to help me test out some spots. I asked her to stand in certain spots while I sat on the bench to imagine how it would look. Of course, she’s not as tall as a geyser, so I joked that she should grow to be 20 feet tall. šŸ˜› She said that if she had a famous mushroom, she could! That was a great idea that hadn’t even occurred to me!

I had two of the mushrooms near my event plaza, so I asked her to grab them and then return. I originally was thinking of placing the geyser on the left side, but I soon discovered it would be partially blocked by my street lamp. So I ultimately decided to put it on the right side instead.

I sit on my yellow bench as a giant-sized Beth stands in the background.

We purposely disconnected to save one of the famous mushrooms, and I went to town hall to start the preparations. I immediately paid the 98,000 bell fee before ending my game for the night.

Today, I rushed over to check out my brand new geyser!

My new geyser as seen from near town hall.I also added that picture to my town page. As expected, the geyser is visible from the yellow bench.

My new geyser as seen from my yellow bench.I then went inside town hall to trigger the geyser’s completion ceremony. Isabelle started things off, I said a few words, and then everyone fired off some party poppers. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good picture of the party poppers going off (and the geyser wasn’t going off at the time anyway). But still, I consider the ceremony a splashing success.

Isabelle concludes the completion ceremony for the geyser as Aurora, Julian, Bob, and Molly look on.This is the second PWP I’ve installed in 2016. The other one was the custom design sign I added in June. I also verified that I have not yet reached my maximum number of PWPs, so I’m still able to put in more projects…even another geyser if I wanted. But I have no current plans to do so.

Later on, I tried to glitch onto the geyser. But I didn’t end up on it…I was standing in it. I got soaked; it was a real pain in the neck.

My head appears to be separated from my body while standing in the geyser.
Do not try this at home.

My villagers were gushing over the new addition to town. Hamlet made up a game about it, called “Geyser.” It involves blinking right as the geyser goes off. I don’t see what’s so exciting about that, but whatever floats his boat.

Hamlet: Try to blink right when the geyser goes off!

At T&T Emporium, I bought some medicine for Daisy since she’s sick as a dog. Get well soon, Daisy!

Molly jumps as she takes her medicine.

Julian asked me for a hammerhead shark tonight, and that’s a lot to ask. But IĀ  would like to earn Julian’s picture, so I used it as an excuse to go to the island and do some fishing. (I also caught a bunch of valuable bugs, too). It took a while, but I eventually scored myself a hammerhead.

I caught a hammerhead shark! I really nailed it!I returned to town and gave it to him. He rewarded me with some plank flooring. That’s all he’s giving me for a hammerhead? What a tool. I should’ve made him walk the plank for that!

On my way up to Re-Tail to sell my catches, I spotted a scorpion! I quickly caught it with my net. But my pockets were full, and there were no free spots on the ground (not covered with patterns or flowers), so I was forced to release it!

Me, holding a scorpion: ...But I don't have any room for it! Oh well, I guess I'll let it go.
That really stings.

When I made it up to the post office to deposit some money into my bank account, I was able to get my balance to 77,777,777 bells! Jackpot! I’m 7/9ths of the way to my goal! Or…seven of nine? šŸ˜›

Your current balance is 77,777,777 bells.

Just a reminder that there’s no Friday Night Forest tomorrow. Instead, I’ll be opening my gate on Sunday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time (5 p.m. Pacific time) for Sunday night fireworks.

My recent dream visitors have been Katy from Torquay, Victoria from Mt. Lebo, and Ilayda from Istanbul. Thanks for stopping by!
