Yesterday was the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. In New Leaf, that means the sun doesn’t come out at all the entire day! But it was already after midnight by the time I played, so I didn’t even get to see Isabelle at the event plaza. The four-person face-cutout standee was still up, though.
Lily asked me if I enjoyed the winter solstice. I didn’t tell her I missed the event, but thanks for caring, Lily!
Next, I grabbed my Welcome Amiibo cards and scanned the Vivian card. I then headed over to the drive-in campground to check out her RV.
The most interesting item (to me, at least) was the hanging chair. I ordered one for my house.
And then today, Hamlet was all packed up and ready to move out of town. I made sure to say goodbye to the little guy. He sure has a lot of boxes!
I dropped off a Cinnamoroll sofa at Bunny’s town Tiger this evening. Her friend Emma also stopped by while I was there. Hope you enjoy the sofa, Bunny!

I tried getting ahold of Alex (and later Elliott), who had asked about adopting Hamlet, but I got no response. After four hours of waiting (in total), I gave up. In the future, please don’t ask me about a villager unless you’re serious about adopting them and you’re going to be around on the date of the move. (Unless something comes up, in which case you should let me know so I can find someone else instead of waiting all night).
I scanned another of my Amiibo cards, this one featuring Maddie the dog. Her RV is picnic themed. I like her swinging bench, although I didn’t order myself one.
There’s a new Nintendo Zone DLC, so I went to a “Nintendo Zone” and asked for the new item. Pelly gave me the barbecue bed, which was originally part of the 7/11 set released in Japan.
As you might expect, it can not be ordered from the catalog.

My latest dream visitors have been Rose from NanuΓ©l and Chloe from Melody. Thanks for stopping by! I plan on participating in Toy Day on Christmas Eve, so check back on Saturday for another entry! Hope to see you then!
UPDATE: The Hamlet story has a happy ending after all! Bunny from Tiger contacted me in the comments and agreed to take him. π So I opened up Forest and she came over to adopt him. I’m glad to see he ended up in a good home. Enjoy your new friend, Bunny! π

Boots looks unusually cute for a gator, but I decided to scan the Leopold card first, since I’m familiar with him from the GameCube game. In fact, he currently lives in both of my current GameCube towns.
Beth invited me over to see Huck’s RV too. Huck is also one of the returning villagers unlocked with Welcome Amiibo cards. I like the coffee and snacks he has, but I don’t like him very much as a character.
I found Agent S on the bridge, crying because a disco ball said she wasn’t sparkly. Are you off your meds again?
I’m not sure why I did this the other day, but I’ve got my villagers calling me sandwich now.

I may invite Boots to move into Forest at some point, but it won’t be this week.
Pete thanked me for using SpotPass, and he gave me 15 MEOW coupons that were included with the letter.
As you might expect, the white festive tree can not be ordered from the catalog.
By the way, thanks to Beth for picking up a Santa’s coat for me. My Santa look is now complete. As she visited to shop, I spotted an igloo at the campsite. I believe this is my first one of the season.
Apollo the eagle was camping inside. For some reason, he seemed to be flexing his wings for me.
Lily asked me for an ocean fish, so I went seaward (when I was good and ready) and caught a sea bass for her.

On that pleasant note, I’ll wrap up this entry. Thank you all for visiting, and have a great weekend! See you next time! π
