Molly’s Birthday

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up next week, it was time for me to make my annual transformation. That’s right, it’s Mohawk McClover time!

Jeff transforms into Mohawk McClover, with a green mohawk.

Wallpaper was the premium item at Re-Tail yesterday, so I used the opportunity to sell seven ice walls that I had in storage from the snowmam this winter. That scored me a nice 124,432 bells.

Reese: Since I'm paying premium for all of these items today...the total is an amazing 124,432 bells! OK?And today (March 7th) is Molly’s birthday! So I made sure to attend her birthday party. Lily was also there to help her celebrate.

Molly and Lily having a good time at Molly's birthday party.I then gave Molly a milk canister for her present, and she seemed to enjoy it.

Molly: I'm so happy to spend my birthday with my friends. But I think Lily was over-analyzing the situation. She calculated that there was a 90% chance that Molly liked her gift, based on studies of smile width.

Lily: Studies of smile width indicate there's a 90 percent chance Molly really liked my present! She’s starting to sound like Fi from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. 😛

In Forest’s southwest park, I saw Bob sitting on the bench. He asked me to join him.

Bob: Come chill out on this bench with me, J-guy!So I did. He’s a cool cat.

If you’re not already aware, I got my Nintendo Switch yesterday. If you’d like, check out my impressions of the system. Or if you’d like to add me as a Switch friend, send a request to friend code 0442-0992-5516. And if you’re interested in the new Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, I’ll be posting updates of my progress over on Jeff’s Gaming Blog.

Also, just a reminder that Friday Night Forest is this week. I’ll be opening my gate around 10 p.m. Eastern U.S. time on Friday night. There’s not really a theme this time, but if you want, feel free to wear green since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up. But it’s entirely optional, of course.

A Rare Resetti Sighting

On Wednesday night, Lily was out walking around in the rain. She said she couldn’t sleep knowing she’d be missing out on the rain. And as you probably know already, frogs don’t carry umbrellas in New Leaf (although they do in City Folk–including Lily).

Lily: I couldn't possibly sleep knowing that all this sweet, sweet rain is falling outside, zzrrbbitt! After completing my normal play session (and saving/quitting), I returned to the game later on to sell some stuff. But I apparently put the 3DS in sleep mode and forgot about it, because the next day, the 3DS was off and the battery was empty.

As I charged it and started up New Leaf, I was greeted by Mr. Resetti! It’s not very often that I see him outside of his Reset Center. But fortunately, I didn’t lose much progress.

Resetti: Really? Batteries? They just went kaput on ya, huh? Mmm...
I don’t think he believed me.

Today, (March 3rd) is Nintendo Switch launch day. I should be getting my Switch by Monday. But to celebrate the launch, I made a design of the logo and put it on my custom-design sign.

The Nintendo Switch logo on my custom design sign.If you’d like the design, just scan this. I’ve also added it to the QR Codes page.

QR code for the Nintendo Switch logo. For use in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Happy Home Designer.Naomi the cow was at the campsite today. She warned me that we might be neighbors someday!

Naomi: Who knows? Maybe someday you and I will be neighbors!
No. You are not mooving in.

Then tonight, I took a trip out to the island. I caught some valuable bugs (mostly beetles) and a few sharks as well.

I caught a goliath beetle!

When I returned, I sold my catches. I’m not sure exactly how much I earned, but I know it was over 100,000 bells.

My recent dream visitors have been Jordy from Sun Town, William from Toontown, Mary from Moonbeam, and Gem from Twilight. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good weekend!
