On Sunday, I received Camofrog’s goodbye letter in the mail. He also included his picture in the envelope. He was an alright villager, but it was definitely time to move on. Bye, froggy.

On Tuesday, I scanned in a new Amiibo card. It’s not one that was in my previous packs of cards I bought. Instead, I bought this one separately, on eBay. The villager on the card is Hornsby the rhino.
Hornsby was one of the first villagers I ever had in the first Animal Crossing game on GameCube. He may not have been one of the starting five animals in town, but he was a memorable villager for me in my first few months with the game. And his catchphrase, schnozzle, was just as memorable. 🙂 Anyway, here is a look at his RV.
I asked him to move into town, and of course, he agreed.
Then yesterday, my bank account balance reached 102 million bells.
Today, Hornsby (and his house) arrived in Forest. He lives behind Boots’ house, and a bit in front of the bulletin board. That’s a pretty convenient spot.

Here’s a look at my up-to-date town map. (I have also updated my town page to reflect Hornsby’s arrival and the current map).

So I went inside to meet my new friend. Welcome to Forest, Hornsby! Schnozzle!
Over by the Roost, I found a lost item on the ground. It belonged to Boots, and he gave me a metronome to thank me for returning it.

My recent dream visitors have been Snuffle from Minecraf, Pippie from Shadow, and Xavier from Quigley. Thanks for stopping by!

Interestingly, after agreeing to the trade, he actually gave me 2,100 bells instead of 1,750. He must have been one happy dude. He was in seven heaven. Anyway, I exited his house and re-entered, and I found it exactly where I hoped it would be.
Agent S was in Re-Tail, saying that she brings her used things there because they’ll be new to someone else…if she dies.
On Thursday, Boots offered another trade. He wanted my six lamp (yes, I’m trying to stay a step ahead of him now) in return for my broken post. Once again, I agreed to the trade.
And sure enough, he put it in the same spot. 😀

A few days later, Boots asked me to catch an oak silk moth for him. I did, and he gave me a waffle shirt as my reward. He put the moth in the same spot where the picnic basket was. Is that the only part of his house that he ever redecorates? How lazy of him. 😛

Camofrog pinged me, and he finally said the words I’ve longed to hear: He’s leaving! He’ll be moving out on September 23rd, and I’m quite happy about that! That means I’ll be able to move someone else in the following week. Yes, I already know who it’ll be. But no, I’m not telling yet. 😉
