Juice Box and Crayons

On April 20th, Rolf asked me to collect signatures for his “Restore the Good Ol’ Days” petition.

Rolf: I'm trying to collect signatures for Restore the Good Ol' Days, but I still have a long way!

Of course, I had to decline the request now that online play is no longer officially supported. Although honestly, I would have declined it anyway. 😆 But I don’t have to feel guilty about it now, haha.

That same day, Boots asked me to bury a time capsule for him. I agreed to do it, so he will let me know when he’s ready for it back.

Boots: Thanks a bunch, J dog! Now...we play the waiting game until we open it, in a swamp!
How did you know I buried it in a swamp? 😉

Today, I noticed something that has apparently escaped my notice for 11 years…and you may laugh at me for this. But I noticed that Aurora’s house is green!

Standing next to Aurora's house.

I always thought it was off-white or light gray or pearl or something. Me being colorblind certainly plays a part in that, but the lighting (and cloud cover) also plays a role. I’ve historically played mostly at night, but I’ve been playing in the daytime more lately. It was clear and sunny when I played today, though, so I noticed the color. 😛

When I went inside, Aurora asked me to fetch Cube for her. I tracked him down, but there was a problem. I couldn’t ask him to come with me, because he was sitting on the metal bench in town! There was no way to tell him the news.

Cube: There's a free seat here if you want to sit down, muscles!

I had to go up to Main Street, and then return, to get him off his butt. 😛 So he followed me back to Aurora’s house, where she reminded him that he needed help writing a letter to his cousin.

Aurora: Didn't you say you needed help writing a letter to your cousin?

Cube said he needed help spelling a certain word, but he couldn’t remember what word it was.

Cube: Oh, right. I wanted to ask you how to spell something. But I can't remember what word it was...

So he turned around and left, saying he wanted to get back to his juice box and crayons.

Cube: For now, I've got a juice box and a pack of crayons waiting for me at home. See ya!

Well, that was pointless. 😆

Over at the campsite, Timbra the sheep was camping out. I was not interested in her, and Forest is full anyway.

Timbra, at the campsite: Hey, are you from around here?

Inkwell asked me for some new furniture, so I bought a money box from Harv’s campground. Yes, I was blatantly trying to bribe Inkwell into giving me his picture. He liked the money box…

Inkwell: Oh! A money box! This is so great, bro!

But he only rewarded me with a common floor. I was uncommonly floored.

That’s all I have for now. I’ll let you all get back to your juice box and crayons. 😆 See you next time!

Tourney, Shoes, Nightmare

Last Monday, Flip the monkey was camping out at the campsite. He seems nice, but I didn’t particularly want him (and my town is full anyway).

Flip, at the campsite: Heya! Do you live in this town?

It was still cherry blossom season at that point, so I took some pictures of the pink trees and petals.

Three pink trees.
Cherry blossoms fall in Southwest Park.

I updated my dream for one last time, mainly so that I could see my final-ish dream visitor count. It showed 5,849…

Luna: Records state the number of clients who have experienced a dream about Forest is 5,849.

But of course that didn’t include pre-update visitors. Before the update, I had 8,978 dreamers, which makes a total of 14,827. Thank you to all who have visited Forest’s dream version over the years!

I was actually going to make one last Dream Suite Adventure, but the town was no longer available.

Yesterday, a fishing tournament was held. Inkwell accused me of goofing off, when all I did was talk to him! How rude! 😛

Inkwell: Hey! Are you just goofing around because you can't catch anything?

Any type of fish was eligible for the competition, so I caught a couple of sea bass. The bigger one was 45.65 inches, and I handed it to Chip. It was a new record, and Chip rewarded me with a dab table.

Chip: It's a new record! Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Later on, I attended the winners’ ceremony. My fish had held on and won the tournament for me! Jeremiah won 2nd place, and Lolly finished in 3rd.

I receive my trophy for winning the fishing tournament. Jeremiah and Lolly also receive prizes.

Today, Inkwell asked me for some new furniture to replace his sleek dresser. I bought this shoe locker from Harvey. With eight legs, I figured Inkwell must have a lot of shoes, right? 😆

Harvey: Ah! So you're interested in my shoe locker...

Inkwell liked the shoe locker, and he rewarded me with the sleek dresser he replaced.

Inkwell: Wow! A shoe locker! It's perfect!

Mira asked me to dig up her time capsule, so I did.

Look! I dug up a time capsule!

I took it back to her, and she found a jade plaid shirt inside. To my surprise, that shirt wasn’t my reward. She gave me an alpine closet instead! That’s very rare to have a reward other than what was inside the time capsule!

Cube was at his house, and he asked me to bring Hornsby over. So I tracked him down…

Hornsby: Cube wants you to take me over to his place? Hmmm... Will there be snacks?

Why did Cube need to see Hornsby? Just because he wanted to tell Hornsby that he had a nightmare where he ate up every peach in town.

Cube: It was a scary dream, but I thought you should know about it, Hornsby!

When Hornsby heard that, he said he was afraid he would have nightmares about Cube’s nightmare. 😛 Cube gave me a school chair for helping him out.

Hornsby: No no no no! Now I'm gonna have nightmares about that nightmare!

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Abbey from Cozytown was my most recent dream visitor. That’s not going to change any more, so in a way, Abbey is now a permanent part of Forest. 😛

It’ll be weird not ending each entry with the latest visitor(s) though. It’s kinda sad. But I hope to see you back here next time regardless. Never Stop Crossing!
