Multi-Camper Week

On Sunday, Lionel was camping at the campsite. He told me he’s not anyone suspicious, but I think he’s lion to me. 😉

Lionel, at the campsite: Oh, I'm not anyone suspicious!

Monday night, the manhole entrance to Resetti’s surveillance center was open.

An open manhole marking the entrance to the Reset Center.

I dropped in for a visit, but Resetti wasn’t in a very friendly mood. (Is he ever?)

Resetti: You ain't gonna find nothin', so quit snoopin' around!

Hornsby asked me to catch a pill bug for him, and I agreed to help out. It only took me a minute or two to find one, and I caught it not far from Hornsby. You can even see him in the background of this screenshot.

I caught a pill bug! I don't know... It seems nice to me! 11.8mm

When I took it over to him, he rewarded me with a bubble tee. He said he hoped that I liked it, but I didn’t tell him what I really thought of the gift. I didn’t want to burst his bubble. 🫧

Yesterday, Lucky the dog/mummy was camping at the campsite. I really wish I had a spot for him!

Lucky: I'm here camping in town, so you'll be seeing me around for a bit!
This one really stings.

I had a chat with Mira near the illuminated arch, and the arch didn’t disappear when I started the conversation. So it blocked my view of Mira as she told me about a book she read. It was called Rabbit Storm Caller, and she wondered if she might have storm-calling superpowers too.

Mira: I wonder if I have storm-calling superpowers?
Go on, give it a try! Hop to it!

Today, Mira offered me a free BB tee. I accepted it, and I decided to put it on.

I had yet another camper today. In fact, two of them!

Marcie: I might not be here long, but I hope we get to know each other.

It was Marcie the kangaroo, and her joey. 😛 I had no interest in adopting them, even if I could.

Aurora asked me for something to replace her pill bug. The best I could come up with was a baseball set that I bought at Harv’s campground. It is baseball season now, after all. To my surprise, Aurora thought it was a home run. ⚾

Aurora: Oh! A baseball set is exactly what I needed!

Unfortunately, she struck out on the reward: She just gave me the pill bug. 😛

Aurora: Oh! In exchange, let me give you the pill bug I was using.

I later released it back into the wild (because my pockets filled up). 😆

A bit later, I spotted a balloon present soaring high in the air…and I shot it down.

A balloon present falls to the ground after its balloon is popped.

There was a laptop inside, so I guess this serves as my introduction to cloud computing. 😉 ☁️

Have a great day (or night), and I hope to see you next time!

Nature Day 2025

On April 13th, I found a lost mitten on the beach (near the western ramp). I later returned it to its owner, Jeremiah. He said he could even smell the french fries he ate the last time he wore it!

Jeremiah: Mm hmm! This is my mitten, all right! I can smell the french fries I ate last time I wore it!

Okay, but how do you eat french fries with mittens on?! Anyway, he rewarded me with a security tee.

Two days later, Aurora asked me for a new catchphrase. I told her to say “not much,” and she said she was going to use it all the time…not much. 😉

Aurora: I'm going to use it all the time. Not much, not much!
Two truths and a lie.

She also asked what she could do for me…not much? 😆

Aurora: Hi, old dog! What can I do for you, not much?

On Friday, Gulliver was down on the beach. He was talking about samurai and ninjas, so I knew he was headed to Japan.

Gulliver: I'll head off to Japan to experience some of everything! But not wasabi. That stuff's HOT!

When I played again yesterday, I got a pagoda in the mail from Gulliver. I later gave it to Mira when she asked for some new furniture. (In return, she gave me an odd clock.)

Today is Nature Day (aka Earth Day), and Isabelle was at the town plaza for the occasion. She was giving out cool globes.

Isabelle: Since today is Nature Day, I'm sure you're thinking about our town's environment even more than usual!

There was also a face-cutout standee for the event. I tried to get Inkwell to join me for a photo, but he didn’t stick around long enough.

Jeff, and the back of Inkwell's head, in the Nature Day faceboard.

But a bit later, Lolly came over. It wasn’t a perfect fit either, but at least I could see part of her face through the cutout.

Lolly and Jeff use the cutout standee for Nature Day (Earth Day) in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (ACNL) for Nintendo 3DS.

Inkwell told me he was thinking of replacing his cyclommatus stag; that’s a rare bug! So I gave him the odd clock that I got from Mira. He loved it!

Inkwell: Wow! An odd clock! It's perfect!

Even though I was hoping for the bug in return, he gave me a modern wood table instead. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I’ll be back with another entry before the end of the month, so I hope to see you all then! Never Stop Crossing!
